Today is the first day of the 7-day Feast of Tabernacles, the last of the Feasts of the LORD (not Feast of Israel and not Feast of the Jews). God said in Leviticus 23, “These are MY Feasts!” Feast in Hebrew is moedim, “fixed appointed times on God’s calendar‘.

Today (last night) moon. The 1st day of the Feast of Tabernacles is always a full moon. Some years there is a Blood Moon on this day, as in 2014 & 2015 Blood Moon Tetrads. https://mbostrom2.com/tag/tetrad/ Passover and Day 1 of the Feast of Tabernacles are the only Feasts of the Lord that can have a Blood Moon. Blood Moons happen on a ‘full moon’ and Solar Eclipses happen when there is no light on the moon, right before the start of a Hebraic month.

The October Moon has come to be called a “Hunter’s Moon” in North America. It comes from the Native American Indians who lived in the north east area of the United States and they name each full moon after the cycle of what happens on the land that month.

January – Wolf Moon, named for the hungry wolves who would howl at the full moon

February – Snow Moon or Hunger Moon, when the food is so scarce from the cold and snow

March – Worm Moon, when the earth worms begin to move again as the ground begins to warm

April – Pink Moon, named after the pink flower that would bloom this month, phlox, first blooming in the Spring in the Northeast.

May – Flower Moon, when the wild flowers would be in full bloom

June – Strawberry Moon, when the strawberry fields would be ready to be picked

July – Buck Moon, when the new antlers would begin to appear on young bucks

August – Sturgeon Moon, known for the large number of fish in the Northeastern Lakes where the Algonquin tribes fished.

September – Harvest Moon (also full Corn Moon), when the farmer would work around the clock to get the fields harvested before the snow would fall.

October – Hunter’s Moon, when the animals are fattened and the hunters would find game to last through the long winter months

November – Beaver Moon, when the beavers are most active building their dams and setting in for the cold

December – Cold Moon, when the cold of winter begins to set into the Northern Hemisphere

Super Blue Blood Moon 3 of 3

This was the third Super Moon of the Triad. They were back-to-back starting December 2/3, 2017, January 1,  2018 and January 31, 2018. This was highly unusual and caused many of us to “Wake Up” and  “Look Up!” My husband and I viewed this heavenly appearance from our front yard. Below is a photo from my iPhone Sky View app. You will see the moon is HUUUGE and it is in the claws of Cancer, the Crab. We sat in our car with the seat warmers on because it was a beautiful 45 degrees her on the Gulf Coast of Texas. The sight was beautiful but we never had a view of the Blood red color of the Eclipsed Moon.

Cancer the Crab according to E.W. Bullinger’s  classic book, The Witness of the Stars, tells the story of “Messiah’s redeemed possession held fast“. This sign connects with the Tribe of Issachar, whose tribe is known for an “understanding of the times”. I Chronicles 12:32, “From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.” (NLT)

Below is the second photo of the night I took at 6am CST. It is Libra, the Scales. Bullinger wrote this represents “The Redeemer’s atoning work, or the price deficient balanced by the price which covers.” The Hebrew name is Mozanaim, “the scales, weighing” (Daniel 5:27) Balanced in Libra’s weights is Jupiter, which in Hebrew is Tzedek, and means ‘righteousness‘. This is the King planet, representing King David and Israel. Below Libra is the planet Mars. In Hebrew it is Ma’Adim,  “the red one” and historically has been known as the Planet of War by the Romans and Greeks because it was named after their god of war.

What is the full significance of these heavenly appearances? Libra with Jupiter and Mars is not as unusual as the Super Moon Triad, but still amazing to see the heaven’s declare the glory of the Lord. Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky displays what his hands have made.” (God’s Word Translation)

As we get closer to a prophetic happening, the signs in the heavens will be bigger and closer together, just as when we travel by auto to a destination.

The third moon of the Triad of Super Moons has caused a world-wide stir to look up into the heavens. I think the greatest significance is how it fell on the Hebrew New Year of the Trees, Tu B’Shevat or the 15th of the month of Shevat. This new year can be found in Leviticus 19:23-25, ” When you come to the land and you plant any tree, you shall treat its fruit as forbidden; for three years it will be forbidden and not eaten. In the fourth year, all of its fruit shall be sanctified to praise the L-RD. In the fifth year, you may eat its fruit.”

Israel is symbolically referred to as the fig tree, Hosea 9:12, Jeremiah 24:3-10; 29:16-17. In Matthew 24:32-34 and Luke 21:29-32, we see Jesus pointing to signs in the fig tree (Israel) and the other trees (prophetic last days nations).

Jesus told us several times to Watch and Pray, but never does He tell us to speculate. I will continue to watch the signs in the heavens and praise the Creator who planned the greatest story in the Universe, named each star and set each course.

Sunday night at 9:44pm Central Standard Time we will view the 4th Blood Moon of the Four Blood Moons of 2014-2015. I went out into my back yard tonight, looked southeast and shot a few views with my SkyView App.

In both shots the moon is black and white. The light blue planet below Pisces (fish) is Uranus and the bright blue planet in Aquarius is Neptune. Neither of these 2 planets are the original 7 planets, which made up the heavenly menorah on Creation.

Tomorrow night the Blood Moon will be found in Pisces – the Fishes. The sign of Pisces has always been interpreted as the nation of Israel. Why? Maybe because Abraham was a stranger here on earth, knowing there was a heavenly city, whose builder and maker was God. (Hebrews 11:10)

Abarbanel, a Jewish commentator, writing on Daniel, affirms that the Sign Pisces always refers to the people of Israel. He gives five reasons for this belief, and also affirms that a conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Saturn always betokens a crisis in the affairs of Israel. Because such a conjunction took place in his day (about 1480 AD), he looked for the coming of Messiah.

E. W. Bullinger comments on this : Certainly when the sun is in Pisces all the constellations which are considered noxious, are seen above the horizon. What is true in astronomical observation is true also in historical fact. When God’s favor is shown to Israel, ‘the Jew’s enemy’ puts forth his malignant powers. When they increased and multiplied in Egypt, he endeavored to compass the destruction of the nation by destroying the male children; but their great Deliverer remembered His covenant, defeated the designs of the enemy, and brought the counsel of the heathen to nought. Something on the Blood Moon I had not considered until it read it in JewsNews “Big Things Coming in 5776” –  the Muslim connection to the Blood Moon Tetrads!

And 1493 was indeed a big year for Islam. It was the year they lost Europe. So was 1949, the year the Muslims lost the war against Israel. They were still fighting in 1948. The armistice and defeat was in 1949. If the tetrad lunar eclipses signal something about Jews, it would have been 1948, but 1949 was the defeat of Islam in Israel, not the founding of the State. In 1967 they lost Jerusalem and it happened in 6 days, so that one was on the dot.”

No matter what – the heavens are declaring the glory of God! A week from tonight we will witness the 4th of the final back-to-back Blood Moons on Passover and Sukkot and we will never in our lifetime view this heavenly appearance of 4 Blood Moons on the Feasts of the Lord.

Next Sunday night we will be in our lawn, looking to heaven, witnessing the Super Blood Moon as the Feast of Tabernacles begins. In the south Texas area, the totality will be 9:44pm, September 27. It should stay the beautiful blood red color for almost an hour. Enjoy!

40 Days of Teshuvah – Day 8 (8/23/15)

In 2010 and 2012 I wrote a daily devotional in this blog site for each of the 40 days, and today at church I felt prompted to finish this season with daily devotionals relating to preparing for the upcoming prophetic September events.

So much is unfolding right before our eyes! The end of the Shemitah year, new Hebraic Year 5776 (many are calling the ‘year of the Messiah’), Yom Kippur – could it be the Jubilee year?; Pope Francis speaking to the Congress and United Nations;  the last Blood Moon of the Tetrad September 28.  Are you ready? I think this devotional might help prepare you daily for what is upcoming.

Every day for 40 days of Teshuvah the shofar is blown and Psalm 27 is read aloud. The shofar awakens those who are asleep and the reading of Psalms 27 prepares the heart. Ephesians 5:14, “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

First of all, what is Teshuvah? Teshuvah is a 40 day season of time for introspection, judging yourself. It begins  on the Hebraic month of Elul 1 and ends Yom Kippur. (8/16/15 – 9/23/15) The last 10 days are known as The Days of Awe.

The Hebrew root for Teshuvah is shuv, number  H7725 in the Strong’s Concordance and it means to return, to turn back, to restore, to cause to return. Spiritually speaking it is turning back to God. He never changes and if you feel distant from Him it is because you have distanced yourself by your own desires and choices in life. It is now an open portal to return to the Lord.

Jeremiah 24:7, ‘Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return (shuv) to Me with their whole heart.

April 4th Blood Moon Viewing

Eclipse Moon April 4 2015 2This photo was taken with SkyView App on my iPhone. We had a very cloudy sky so I watched the viewing online with Time.com.

The moon eclipsed closest to Porrima (aka Gamma Virginis). This is a binary star, meaning it consists of 2 stars that orbit together appear as one. I cannot find the Hebrew name for this star.

“A mystic rabbi living in southern Israel is urging all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches. Rabbi Amram Vaknin, who similarly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, and Operations Pillar of Defense (2012) and Protective Edge (2014), warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time. I was reading in E.W. Bullinger’s book Witness of the Stars this morning regarding the biblical meaning of the Constellation Virgo. On the bottom of page 33 Bullinger wrote “In the Zodiac in the Temple of Denderah, in Egypt, about 2000 B.C. (now in Paris), she (Virgo) is likewise represented with a branch in her hand, but ignorantly explained by a false religion to represent Isis!

ISIS? Watch and pray my friends. We are living in very exciting times.

It is not for us to speculate, Jesus never told us to speculate. Rather, He told us in Mark 13 “4 times” to “Watch”. The Greek word for watch is ‘agrypneō’, and means ‘to be sleepless, keep awake, watch’. This word is only found 4 times in the Bible and all 4 times are in this passage as Jesus commands us about the day or the hour of His Second Coming.

Blood Moon October 8

The 2nd Blood Moon of this Blood Moon Tetrad over the Feast Days of the Lord on Passover and Tabernacles of 2014 will be seen at 6:25am EDT and end at 7:24 EDT according to NASA. This will be the last total lunar eclipse of 2014.  (5:25-6:24 CST)

This siting will be VERY RARE, since some areas will be able to see the full eclipse of the Moon as the Sun rises. This is called a “senenelion“, meaning the sun and eclipsed moon can be seen at the same time in some areas. According to geometry, this cannot happen. Well, we are living in very unusual times.

Keep looking up! I am praying for clear skies and plan to watch it from the Gulf of Mexico.

October 2014 Eclipses

YES!! October has 2 Eclipses and both can be seen from North America. October 8th will have a full blood moon and October 23rd will have a partial Solar Eclipse.

The April 15th Blood Moon (lunar eclipse) totally covered the brightest star in Virgo, which is called Spica in Latin. The Hebrew name is Tsemech and means Branch, representing the Messiah. I remember looking in my SkyView AP on my iPhone and seeing the lineup of planets and constellations. I was so excited I could not sleep the rest of the night!

Psalms 19:1-6 tell of how the heavens speak and show knowledge. What I experienced that night was amazing! Understanding the Constellations that Creator God planned for this tells the whole story of what he is doing on the earth right now. The Heavens ‘declare’ the glory of God!

October 8, 2014 we will see (weather permitting) the Blood Moon larger than the April 15 Blood Moon. Once it reaches totality, it will be Blood Red for approximately 59 minutes so you can set your alarms and rise early . Maybe you can have your devotions in the back yard, experiencing the incredible, awesome, majesty, greatness and glory of God!

God had an original intent of each constellation as together they tell the story of Jesus’ First coming, the Church Age and His Second Coming. April 15th, the Total Lunar Eclipse covered Book One of the 3 books of Heaven.How do they tell the story? God named all the stars. Each constellation (fixed stars) tell the story by the name God revealed to Adam, Seth and Enoch. The story begins at the brightest star and goes through each star like a chapter in the book.

Below I have listed the main 12 Constellations, each having 3 associated constellations. I have taken my study from the great book by E.W. Bullinger, “The Witness of the Stars”.

  • Book One: Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius: They all tell of Jesus’ birth and The Sufferings of Christ
  • Book Two: Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries: They tell the story of the Redeemed Church
  • Book Three: Taurus, Gemini, Cancer and Leo: They tell of the Glory of the Second Coming of Christ

TRULY AMAZING! The October Blood Moon is from Book Two of the story in the heavens! Below are the constellations involved in the great preview chart from Astronomy.com:

  • Eridanus (The River of the Judge) Wrath breaking forth for His enemies (associated with Taurus the Bull of Book Three)
  • Aries (The Lamb or Ram) The Lamb that was slain, prepared for victory
  • Cetus (The Sea Monster) The great enemy of the bound (associated with Aries the Lamb)
  • Pisces (The Fishes) The Redeemed blessed though bound- the fullness of the Church after the Resurrection of Christ
  • Andromeda (The Chained Woman) The Redeemed in her bondage and affliction (associated with Pisces, the Fishes)
  • Pegasus (The Winged Horse) The blessings coming quickly (associated with Aquarius) ENIF is an orange supergiant star in the nose of the horse.
  • Aquarius (The Water Bearer) The Living waters of blessing poured forth for the Redeemed! (I say “Let it Rain Jesus! We need a great awakening!!”)

I feel like the announcer on the movie SeaBiscuit, “Stop the presses, stop the presses!” Remember how excited he was? That is how I felt when I saw the alignment of the October 8th Blood Moon was over Pisces, on the night of the eve of the Feast of Tabernacles!!!

The sign of Pisces has always been interpreted as the nation of Israel. History records that 3 years before the birth of Moses, Jupiter (King Planet) and Saturn (Shabbatai, Lord of the Sabbath) were in conjunction with Pisces (representing the Hebrews, then nation of Israel). Josephus and other historians affirm that Egyptian astronomers interpreted the sign as an indicator that a great man would be born among the Jews.

Why 2 fishes? Because Abraham knew there was a heavenly city he belonged to, but was used of God on this earth. The same with the Church, the Body of Christ. I Peter 2:11 tells us we are ‘foreigners and aliens here”. Our citizenship is in heaven. One of the fishes is swimming towards the North Polar Star and the other fish is on the line of the ecliptic path of the Sun.

The Fishes are tied together by a cord, the constellation called Al Risha, a common bond.  Ephesians 2 tells us that the Church and the Jews are joined together to make “One New Man!” From what I see, the heavens are declaring that the Church will stand strong with Israel, with heavenly help from the hosts of Heaven. Jesus, the Lord of Hosts, Jehovah Sabbaoth will be directing the greatest move of God in history.  Wait and see! The Bible promises a great victory and the heavens declare with signs!

Pisces the Fishes

The Partial Solar Eclipse of October 23rd will be seen best in the northern parts of North America (viewing a 60% eclipse)  but all in North American will be able to view it. I live in Texas, by NASA, and we will see it from begin at 4:48 pm with maximum at 5:53pm and should see a 20-40% eclipse.

Thursday, October 23rd I will be ministering in Minneapolis so I should be part of the 60% eclipse viewers.

October 23rd is Tishri 29 on the Hebraic calendar. In Israel it will already be Tishri 30, the anniversary of the Knesset building in Jerusalem.  In 1958, the foundation stone was laid for Israel’s Knesset building in Jerusalem. The Knesset is composed of 120 members, the same size as the Great Assembly (“Knesset HaGedola”) that served as the rabbinical body during the Second Temple era. (The Great Assembly redacted the biblical books Ezekiel, Daniel and Esther, and composed many prayers such as the Amidah.) Today, the Israeli Knesset is known as a bastion of democracy in the Middle East, with women, Arabs, and other minorities represented. (Aish.com)

FYI- the eve of the 24th begins the Islam New Year.

Also the eve of Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan, the month of the Flood. Noah and his family entered the Ark on day 10 of Cheshvan. 7 days later it began to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. One year later on Cheshvan 27, the flood waters finally subsided and Noah, his family and the animals left the Ark. I always think of Jesus telling us His 2nd coming would be ‘like the days of Noah”.
