Psalm 27:1, A Psalm of David. THE LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27 is read aloud every day for the 40 days of turning ourselves back to the things of God, and God Himself with our whole heart. It is a time of cleansing ourselves of anything that would draw us away from His perfect will and presence.

First of all, we see this as a Psalm of David, known as a ‘man after God’s own heart’.

Acts 13:22 says, “But God removed him from the kingship and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, `David son of Jesse is a man after my own heart, for he will do everything I want him to.’ ‘” (I Samuel 13:14)

We have read how David failed, but after he returned to the Lord he was cleansed of all unrighteousness and brought back to a place of new mercies. This morning when you woke, you woke to new mercies. God is faithful. He loves you and wants to make all things new in your life, a fresh beginning. Return to the Lord where there is forgiveness, safety, love and healing.

David got to know his covenant LORD through his trials, battles, successes, failures and worship. David killed a giant while he was bragging on his LORD’s name. (I Samuel 17:45)

He understood how the LORD was his shepherd and took good care of him as a helpless little lamb. (Psalm 23)

Magnify God- make Him the biggest part of your day today! Make God bigger than your mountain and see what the Lord of Hosts will do!!

All it takes to dispell the works of darkness is light. He is your light! Allow Him, let Him shine in your life today.

Below is a photo of my reading the Bible from the seat of Ezra in David’s Tent in Washington DC. Praise, Worship, Bible Reading and Prayer have gone out of that tent for several years, 24/7. Bible Reading At Davids Tent DC

Every day for 40 days of Teshuvah the 27th Psalm is read aloud.

First of all, what is Teshuvah? Teshuvah is a 40 day season of time for introspection, judging yourself. It begins Elul 1 and ends Yom Kippur  (Day of Atonement). The last 10 days are known as The Days of Awe.

I believe this year, with all the prophetic End Time signs, is a urgent time to cleanse ourselves and stand in the gap for our nation and Israel like never before. I encourage you to read Psalm 24:1-6 today as we begin the 40 day Season of Teshuvah (repentance) for ourselves first, then our nation.

The Hebrew root for Teshuvah is shuv, number  H7725 in the Strong’s Concordance and it means to return, to turn back, to restore, to cause to return. Spiritually speaking it is turning back to God. He never changes and if you feel distant from Him it is because you have distanced yourself by your own desires and choices in life. It is now an open portal to return to the Lord.

Jeremiah 24:7, ‘Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return (shuv) to Me with their whole heart.

I am in Washington, DC and was able to view 81% of the Teshuvah Eclipse yesterday from a sidewalk café on Pennsylvania Ave. It was beautiful! But you needed glasses to view the beauty of the eclipse. Without glasses you would just see the sun and not realize it was not shining in fullness. That is way you need to look at yourself these next 40 days, with your spiritual glasses. Look at yourself through God’s lenses. Hear what He is saying, may your heart be sensitive and yielding to Holy Spirit as He leads us into these 40 days of Teshuvah (Repentance) so we can stand in the gap for our family and nation as Moses did when he went up the mountain 40 days for the second time to repent for the national sin of the Golden Calf.

As the eclipse was ending, I thought to take use my SkyView app on my iPhone and see the heavenly alignment. Below is the photo of this amazing alignment.

Teshuvah eclipse 2017 skyviewBeginning at the left below the back feet of Leo is Mercury. In Hebrew it is called KOCHAV, the Sun Star, Messenger Star.

At the bottom of his front paw, barely seen except the outline, is the Moon. It is fully black since it is the last day of the Hebraic month. In Hebrew the moon is called LEVENAH, or the White One. The Moon has no light in itself, but only is a reflection of the Sun.

Next the bright star is the Sun, which is called in Hebrew CHAMAH, the Hot One. This is believed to represent Jacob (Israel)  who was the father of the twelve tribes. (Genesis 37:9-10) When Joseph had the dream about the Sun, Moon and 11 Stars bowing down to him, his father immediately interpreted it to be himself, Rachel and the other 11 brothers of Joseph.

To the right is Mars, which is called in Hebrew Ma’adim, the Red One. This planet is known as the ‘mysterious red planet’. It is recognized by the Romans and Greeks as the planet of war and historically when it is ‘clearly’ seen, war breaks out on earth.

The Sun and Moon are over the ‘King Star’ in the Heavens, called by the ancient name of Regulus, which is the brightest star in the constellation of Leo, the Lion from the Tribe of Judah. Regulus means ‘treading underfoot’. Leo in the heavenly storybook of Jesus from first coming to second coming is the last book, telling of “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah aroused for the rending of the prey”.

Psalm 19 reads, “The Heavens declare the glory of the Lord.” Prophet Johnny Enlow had a message on ElijahList.com August 15, 2017:  “The Heavens are SHOUTING About the Great American Eclipse.” This was an amazing heavenly alignment of the planets with the earth to bring the Church into position. I have a voice calling the Church to FALL IN, get in place, In the US Navy they would call “All hands on deck”.

This is not a drill! Our Commander and King, Jesus Christ, Lord of the Angel Armies is calling us to CLOSE RANKS!!!!

Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NLT) “History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.”

It has been said, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Please learn from the history of this Hebrew month and pray. This is going to be a very challenging month world-wide.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Israel’s enemies acknowledge historical dates and plan attacks on those dates.

Every Hebrew month has a Tribe, Constellation and Hebrew letter associated with it. These hold keys to our promises for that month and help us to pray in line with God’s timing and to get our lives into time with His specific appointed times.

These next three months of Tammuz, Av & Elul are the most challenging months for Israel. History repeatedly has shown that if anything tragic is going to happen to Israel it will happen in the months of Tammuz & Av. These three summer months heat up both naturally and spiritually. In the United States of America, this will be the period of the hottest months of this presidential election. The kingdom of this world is fighting against God’s plans and promises for Israel and the Church.

Tammuz is known as the ‘fourth month’ in the Bible according to the Biblical Calendar and is the tenth month on the civil calendar. The number 4 carries the meaning of learning, teaching, testing and trials. It also is the number of material completeness, a world number since on the 4th day material creation finished. It is the number of the great elements (earth, air, fire, water) regions of the earth (north, south, east, west) divisions of day (morning, noon, evening and midnight) seasons (summer, fall, winter, spring). The number 10 signifies the perfection of Divine order, beginning a new series of numbers. It also stands for completeness of order, marking the entire round of anything, whole cycle is complete. Putting those 2 numbers together we see that there will be a completeness of things that have been sown these past months and many people will be reaping things they do not want to reap. It is a good time to pray for a crop failure on all the negative words and deeds sown and to stand in the gap for our nation like never before.

Tammuz is the name of a Syrian god, but was also worshipped also by the Hebrews women with lamentations, in the fourth month of every year. Their idol worship was an abomination to God! It is a proper noun and means ‘sprout of life’, a Sumerian deity of food and vegetation. The only time the Bible records that name is found in Ezekiel 8:14 when God was showing Ezekiel all the abominations that were going on in the Temple, “So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the LORD’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.” Vs 17 tells of how they were smelling the branch. The cedar branch is used in the worship of this Syrian god and instead of the Hebrew women trusting God for life, they had turned to trusting a cedar to give them fertility and life, IN THE HOUSE OF GOD!

Here are some historical events connected with this month (specifically watch the 17th day of Tammuz- this year begins at sundown July 22)

  • Tammuz 1, historically it is the date Joseph was born and died. Rabbinical teaching says that if someone fulfills their earthly assignment well they will die on the same date of their birth. This is also said to be the day that Joseph was given the coat of many colors and created major jealousy with his brothers
  • Tammuz 17, 1312 BC, Moses descended from Mount Sinai and found the people worshiping the Golden Calf, breaking the 2 tablets containing the Ten Commandments- 3,000 Israelites were killed by Levites that day

  • Tammuz 23, 1099,  Crusaders captured Jerusalem to “liberate the Holy Land from the infidels.”  (En route, the Crusaders carried out a campaign of rape and pillage; an estimated 40% of European Jewry was slaughtered in the process.) The day following their conquest of Jerusalem, the Crusaders murdered all the city’s Jews, by herding them into a synagogue and setting it on fire. Jews were barred from Jerusalem for the next century.
  • Tammuz 27, 1205 AD, Pope Innocent III published official Church doctrine that saw Jews doomed to eternal damnation for the curcifixion of Jesus. This charge of deicide was the basis for much anti-Semitism. This was reversed in 1963.

  • Tammuz 7, 1938, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt initiated a conference at Evian, France, where 32 world leaders discussed the problem of Jewish refugees. Unfortunately, little was accomplished, as nation after nation offered excuses for their refusal to accept Jewish refugees. Chaim Weizmann was quoted as saying: “The world seemed to be divided into two parts — those places where the Jews could not live, and those where they could not enter.” The conference failed to pass even a resolution condemning German treatment of Jews. The lack of action further emboldened Hitler, proving to him that no country had the moral fortitude to oppose the Nazi assault on European Jewry.
  • Tammuz 17, 1944, The entire population of Kovno ghetto was sent to the death camps
  • Tammuz 5, 1946 (15 months after WWII & Holocause ended), Jewish refugees from the Holocaust, with no other place to go, returned to their hometown of Kielce, Poland and were attacked by the townspeople in a blood pogrom that left 42 Jews dead and 80 wounded. The pogrom began with rumors spread that Jews had kidnapped a Polish child.
  • Tammuz 17, 1970, Libya ordered the confiscation of all Jewish property
  • Tammuz 6, 1976 On July 4, 1976, as America was celebrating its bicentennial, Israeli commandos performed a spectacular raid to rescue 100 Jews held hostage at Entebbe airport in Uganda.

I will bring conflict into Lebanon, because it is the boundary that I will deal with this year concerning My promised land of Israel. The warlike tribes of Lebanon will once again arise. But in the end, I will win this war, and the riches that have been withheld from My Kingdom plan will be released.”)

The Washington paper said the U.S. administration has decided it must work with Hamas because of its status in the Arab and Islamic world

The 3 week period between Tammuz 17 and Av 9 (Tisha B’Av) are called ‘bein haMetzarim’, aka Between the Straits, Dire Straits. Lamentations 1:3, “Judah has gone into captivity, under affliction and hard servitude; she dwells among the nations, she finds no rest; all her persecutors overtake her in dire straits.” Fear is strong during these 21 days because of the historical events connected with these two dates.

Both Tammuz 17 and Av 9 are fasting days listed in Zechariah 8:19. Feast Days were appointed by God, but these Fast Days are appointed by man. These fasts centered on themselves, not sorrow for sin, but sorrow for thier loss.

TRIBE- Reuben, the first son of Jacob and Leah. As the first born, he should have recieved a double portion of inheritance, leadership and priesthood of the family after Jacob’s passing. Because of his sin of sleeping with Rachel’s handmaiden, he lost all 3 firstborn privileges. The rulership went to Judah, the priesthood went to Levi and the double portion went to Joseph. He was a lover, unpredictable, many bi-polar tendencies, will not fight even to defend his family, stubborn, headstrong.

The prophetic word given to Reuben at Jacob’s passing is found in Genesis 49:3, “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity and the excellency of power. (4) Unstable as water, you shall not excel, because you went up to your father’s bed; then you defiled it– he went up to my couch.”

This shows us the instability facing this coming month, but the redemptive gift to Rueben is “the excellency of”. To those who overcome the weak areas of Reuben, their work will be rewarded for excellency. Remember, Genesis 49:1 said those prophetic words were for the LAST DAYS. We can learn about how to overcome now by those prophetic words and aligning ourselves correctly.

CONSTELLATION/MAZAL- CANCER, “The Crab”- In the summer months,  when the weather is hot, the crabs multiply in the water. Crabs pinch and hurt and this month was basically a time in which the Jewish people were hurt.

The Hebrew name is Sartan. This is composed of two words, sar & tan, which literally reads, “remove the body’ (in order to reveal the soul). This month the pressures of life cause us to reveal what is really inside of us. (Interesting how this name is so close to the name of satan.)

LETTER- CHET (rhymes with ‘mate’ and has a sound of ‘ch’ as in Bach) is the 8th letter in the Hebrew Aleph Bet and has the numerical value of 8. Since the number 7 is the number of completeness, the number 8 stands for new beginnings. Jewish boys are circumcized on the 8th day, a covenant sign of his new beginning.

Chet is the pictograph of a wall, a fence or inner chamber and means ‘to fence’ – to separate, to cut off from, to protect.  number of ‘spiritual perfection’.

Grace/favor is a Chet word in Hebrew spelled Chet Nun (action, life). The word picture created is to fence or protect life, like a fence surrounds a garden. (Genesis 6:8)

Refuge is also a Chet word, spelled Chet (fence), Samech (support), Hey (feminine ending, what comes from). The word picture says that refuge is a fence of support. (Psalm 7:1-2)

Life (chayim) and Living (chayah) are both Chet words.

Let’s speak life, grace, favor and life to this coming Hebrew month.

Isaiah 62:1, “For Israel’s Sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not hold my peace”

This month, stabalize our faith by spending time in the Word and not in the world’s media. That way you will be makng a wall of protection around you and your family for the days ahead.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem as they enter into the season of the Dire Straits.

Tomorrow is February 29, 2016 on the Gregorian calendar. That extra day in February makes this a leap year, which happens every 4 years.

The Hebraic calendar is the calendar that God created in Genesis 1 and the Jews were entrusted to keep this calendar accurate. This calendar adds an entire month 7 times in 19 years.  In a leap year the month of Adar would be called Adar A (Adar 1) for 12th month and Adar B (Adar 2) for the 13th month. This has also known as a “pregnant year”.

Tomorrow is 20 Adar A, 5776 on the Hebraic calendar, making this a ‘pregnant year’. It is very unusual for both calendars to have a leap year at the same time. I have looked back a few years and 2008, 2000 and 1992  were leap years on both the Hebraic and Gregorian calendars.

2016, 2008 and 2000, 1992 were all Election years in the United States.

  • 1992 – George H Bush vs Bill Clinton
  • 2000 – George W Bush vs Al Gore
  • 2008 – Barack Obama vs John McCain
  • 2016 – ?

I am praying for this next president. Praying that God would not give our nation what we deserve, but that He would in His mercy give us a president after His own heart. May this year be pregnant with a president that hears God’s voice, who prays, who loves Israel and walks in integrity and rules in justice.

God help our nation come back to You, I pray You will start with me.

Something on the Blood Moon I had not considered until it read it in JewsNews “Big Things Coming in 5776” –  the Muslim connection to the Blood Moon Tetrads!

full-moon-over-dcFrom the article: “The answer is, a tetrad lunar eclipse, if it does signify anything, has nothing to do with Jews. The moon is Islam. It has to do with Muslims. And 1493 was indeed a big year for Islam. It was the year they lost Europe. So was 1949, the year the Muslims lost the war against Israel. They were still fighting in 1948. The armistice and defeat was in 1949. If the tetrad lunar eclipses signal something about Jews, it would have been 1948, but 1949 was the defeat of Islam in Israel, not the founding of the State. In 1967 they lost Jerusalem and it happened in 6 days, so that one was on the dot.”

WOW! I had never seen that connection!

I did blog the Islam View of the Blood Moon at https://mbostrom2.com/2011/06/10/islam-view-of-a-lunar-eclipse.

No matter what – the heavens are declaring the glory of God! A week from tonight we will witness the 4th of the final back-to-back Blood Moons on Passover and Sukkot and we will never in our lifetime view this heavenly appearance of 4 Blood Moons on the Feasts of the Lord.

Next Sunday night we will be in our lawn, looking to heaven, witnessing the Super Blood Moon as the Feast of Tabernacles begins. In the south Texas area, the totality will be 9:44pm, September 27. It should stay the beautiful blood red color for almost an hour. Enjoy!

This morning I awoke and I heard “Just and true are your ways, O Lord”, from the Song of Moses in Revelation 15:3. We have been doing out part, crying out to God for our nation and repenting for the many great sins. We have come before a Holy Judge, on behalf of ourselves and on behalf of the innocent.

We are in the time in history that Moses was on the mountain for the second 40 days, seeking forgiveness for the entire nation of Israel because of the sin of the Golden Calf. In history, the day that he came down with the judgment of mercy was September 23, The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).

This morning on a prayer call I had a vision of an hour glass, with time running out. Tonight ends the 7 year land cycle of Leviticus 25 and the last day of the Shemitah Cycle is today. Tomorrow begins the “Ten Days of Awe”, where books in heaven are opened for the ‘just, the unjust and those in-between’. I feel what the Spirit of the Lord is showing me is that there is judgment upon national leaders and nations right now and there is still time for them to humble themselves and turn to the Lord.

Time-is-running-out-HourglassThe books will be closed, judgement will be set at the end of the 10 days of Awe, as Yom Kippur begins, The Day of Atonement. In history, this is the day that Moses came down the mountain with the judgment of mercy for the nation of Israel. This year, the Jubilee Year will be announced on Yom Kippur. We are in very serious times, very dangerous times. Seek the Lord, not only for yourselves, but for the nations, for the leaders.

Tonight begins the partial Solar Eclipse. This will be over the southern part of the earth so most of us will not see it except by internet. I saw the short clip of what it will look like on http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2015-september-13. It looks like a bowl. May this not be filled with the judgment of God upon the nations as they prepare to take the Promised Land at the United Nations, Selah.

Revelation 15:3, “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.”

DANGER! PASSIVITY!

ISIS beheadingHave you wondered why these men were not fighting, screaming, kicking? Because they had been through this same procedure about 40 times and probably thought that this was another routine of terror. Instead, this was their end. The tactic of the enemy was to ‘wear down their resistance’. Take away their fight to live.

Passivity towards our enemy is what the devil wants from us and his trick is to cool the ardor (passion) of God’s men of war. Proverbs 13:12, “Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around.” (MSG)

Right now we are not actively fighting a war with ISIS inside our nation, but we are fighting a real war between right and wrong.  We are living in the days when they call ‘good’ evil and ‘evil’ good. Years ago, it was said of someone who was a homosexual, that they were in the ‘closet’. At that time the Church had passion. Now, the Church is in the closet, and the homosexual community has the passion!

Synonyms for being ‘passionate’ are: (fired with intense feeling) ardent, blazing, burning, dithyrambic, fervent, fervid, fiery, flaming, glowing, heated, hot-blooded, hotheaded, impassioned, perfervid, red-hot, scorching, torrid.

Synonyms for ‘passivity’ are: Indifference, apathetic, asleep, compliant, lifeless, insensitivity, lethargy, aloofness, coldness, coolness, detachment, disinterest, dispassion, disregard, dullness, emotionless, heedlessness, insensibility, unconcern, going through the motions, unresponsiveness, halfheartedness, idle, indifference, laid back, motionlessness, nonresistance, nonviolent, phlegmatic, resigned, submissive
2 Timothy 1:6, “That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you”  TIME FOR ‘SHIELDS UP’, Fan the flame of hope in God, don’t let down your shield of faith! The best times for the Church is just ahead. This will be our finest hour! Don’t go AWOL on King Jesus right at the finish line. He is the Author and the Finisher of your faith! Put your trust and hope in Him!

Psalm 27:11 (AMP)  Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain and even path because of my enemies [those who lie in wait for me]. (12)  Give me not up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me; they breathe out cruelty and violence.

This morning I could almost feel the hopelessness of the righteous of our nation as they watched the news of the resistance to defunding Planned Parenthood and the resistance to stopping the Iran nuclear deal. I could almost hear the passivity of the intercessors, giving up. What good does it do to pray? Losing heart, fighting to find hope.
Let us be like David in I Samuel 30:6 and strengthen ourselves in the Lord our God! “Muster The Troops! Is there not a cause?” After David strengthen himself in the Lord, they recovered all!

Psalm 27:13,  [What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!

“You had better make sure that your End Times doctrine has God winning!” Don’t lose heart, God is not dead and He does not sleep. We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!

Amos 4:12, “Therefore, I will bring upon you all the disasters I have announced. Prepare to meet your God in judgment, you people of Israel!” (13) For the LORD is the one who shaped the mountains,
stirs up the winds, and reveals his thoughts to mankind. He turns the light of dawn into darkness
and treads on the heights of the earth. The LORD God of Heaven’s Armies is his name!

Every time God spoke Judgment to the nation of Israel, it came to pass. EXCEPT when a righteous person stood in the gap for the nation. One of those times was at Mt Sinai, the sin of the Golden Calf. We are in the days right now that Moses went up the mountain for the 2nd set of 40 days, this time to intercede for the nation of Israel for that specific incident.

We are coming into times where it could be ‘the best of times’ or ‘the worst of times’. We get to choose whom we will serve. As for Ken, myself and our house, we will serve the Lord. And He will protect us.

At sundown, 10 days from now, it will begin Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets. This is when the year changes on Hebraic calendar to the year 5776. In the Hebrew Aleph Bet, each letter is a number. For instance, Alef is the first letter and has the numerical value of 1. Tav is the last of the 22 letters and has the value of 400.

The Hebrew word for ‘perfection’ is shlaimut and the numeric value of the value of 776 (300+30+40+6+400=776)

Some other phrases that add up to 776 are as follows:

  • Mal 3:7, come back to Me, and I will come back to you=776
  • Jer 3:22, come back to Me, you fatherless children of Israel=776
  • The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob=776
  • The kingdom of David will be for the eternal world=776
  • The kingdom of God will be forever=776
  • The last Kingdom =776
  • The Coming of the Messiah=776

We should always prepare our hearts because none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Prepare to meet Him ever day, but more so as the days come closer to His appearing. Our nation is facing some very serious times as our leaders make decisions that put us in harm’s way.

Let us all follow Moses’ example for the days we are in and stand in the gap for our nation and Israel.

Psalm 27:6, “And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.”

Praising God is a choice!!! And it is also coming in the “opposite spirit”. Pray for those who persecute you, love your enemies, forgive them who hurt you. WHAT? That is not the norm today. We live in an era of Me, selfishness. 2 Timothy 3 tells us what days we are living in, perilous times, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,….” In the days we are living in right now, we need to come in the opposite spirit of each of these.  Coming in the opposite spirit would be to praise God to whom all blessings flow! Praise Him for who He is, for the goodness He has given you in your life.

The first use of sing in this passage is the Hebrew word shiyr (sheer) and it is used to ‘sing to honor someone’.

The first usage of shiyr in the Bible is in Exodus 15 after Yahweh parted the Red Sea and their enemies were drowned. They sang in honor of their Protector and Defender God.

The second use of sing in this passage is the Hebrew word zamar and it is a primitive word that carries the meaning ‘to pluck with fingers’. This use of sing is from praises using instruments. It also means ‘to dance’.

The first instance that zamar is used in the Bible is Judges 5:3 with Deborah and Barak, “”Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes! I, [even] I, will sing (shiyr) to the LORD; I will sing praise (zamar) to the LORD God of Israel.”

No matter what circumstance you find yourself in today, CHOOSE to sing praises to God in song, instrument and/or dance. He is so worthy of our praise!
