Israel at 70

Israel celebrated their 70th Year of Independence April 18-20 with 70 hours of celebration. The opening ceremony from Mt Hertzl was outstanding! Again, I feel I need to explain that this anniversary falls on May 14, 2018. In 1948 the Hebraic calendar had a leap year with 13 months, so Iyar 5 and May 14 were the same day. However, this year there is no leap year on either calendar so the celebrations are almost a full month apart. There will be celebrations on May 14 and there will be a parade of nations who will be coming to celebrate. This is also the date that the United States is expected  to officially move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

As I pondered this great event, I remembered being in the USSR in May 1991 after they had 70 years of communism. That was the year of “release” from the oppression started with Lenin and the Bolsheviks in 1917.

The number 70 is a great turning point in history. If you remember, it was at this point that Cyrus proclaimed it was time for the Jews to return to their land and rebuild the Temple. (2 Chronicles 36:22-23; Ezra 1:1; Jeremiah 25:12; 29:10) Is it time for the Third Temple? I am not jumping to a conclusion of what this 70th milestone means, but it is something to watch!

I hope you will gain understanding of what a significant period we are living in right now. We are “brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this” and it is a time to be on high alert, on the wall, watching and praying.

The 2nd program of Cycles of April 19 was to help you understand cycles in history, and how “history merely repeats itself”.  This will be part 1 of the actual events in history of April 19 and dates around it. I have found in research that April 19-May 1st is a 13-day time period that demands child sacrifice by fire all the way back to  the time of Baal worship. In our time, it has changed to the time of ‘gun fire’, fire and terror.

Israel became a nation again on Iyar 5 on the Hebraic calendar. On the Gregorian calendar that fell on May 14, 1948. That year was a leap year on the Hebrew calendar so there was 13 months that year, so this year the 70th Anniversary will fall on April 20. Since that day is a Friday and begins the Shabbat at nightfall, the celebration in Israel will be on April 19.

One thing that we need to understand in these days is that “history merely repeats itself”  (Ecclesiastes 1:9 NLT) The Amplified Bible reads, “That which has been is that which will be [again], and that which has been done is that which will be done again.

I have followed Bill Koenig of http://www.watch.org for years about the cycles of April 19 in History. I have recorded three programs regarding this event of 2018. This first program I will help you to understand cycles. Weathermen and Wall Street stockbrokers understand how cycles affect us, but the Church as a whole has been ignorant of the Cycles on God’s calendar.

The enemy of God wants to terrorize God’s people and will use cycles to bring fear of dates of historic events, causing them to dread these days coming. God wants us to be aware, on watch for things that are about to happen with repeating of history.
