October 2020 we will have two full moons. The first was October 1st and the 2nd will be October 31. The second full moon in a month is also called a “Blue Moon”. The phrase ‘once in a blue moon’ means it doesn’t happen very often. In 2020 there is a total of 13 full moons and 2 Super Moons (March 9 and April 7). The October 31st ‘blue moon’ will not be a super moon.

This year the last day of Daylight Saving Time will end. November 1st our clocks ‘fall back’ and we gain an extra hour of sleep.

This full moon is called ‘Hunter’s Moon’ by the Northern Indian Tribes because this will be enough light to hunt at night and prepare for the long winter. October 1st full moon was referred to as ‘Harvest Moon.’

This is also Halloween. The last time there was a full moon in every time zone on Halloween was 1944, so this does not happen very often. We are in a time in history where there is much witchcraft and this will increase their activity since they also believe in Horoscope. Since President Trump has come into office there has been organized witchcraft on this date to take him out of office. They do not understand that they are fighting against God and it will not work!

While we watch the ‘Blue Moon’ on the evening of October 31st, Israel will be on Cheshvan 14 on the Hebraic calendar. I like to look to what happened in history on that day. For that information I go to AISH.com/dijh. This is what they had for that day. “In 1917, the British government gave final approval for the Balfour Declaration, calling for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in historic Israel. The declaration took the form of a letter from Arthur Balfour, British Foreign Secretary, to Lord Rothschild, who had once been a member of the British Parliament. In 1922, the United States Congress formally endorsed the Balfour Declaration. In the ensuing decades, the British would slowly whittle away at their commitment — first lopping off 80 percent of the land east of the Jordan River to create the Kingdom of Transjordan (now Jordan), and then restricting Jewish immigration and rights to purchase land to the west of the Jordan River. The volatility of the situation ultimately forced the British to withdraw from the region in 1948.”

A Blue Moon is when there are 2 full moons in one month, the 2nd is called a Blue Moon. “Once in a Blue Moon” is an idiom that means ‘it does not happen very often’. This is the 2nd Blue Moon in 2018, 2 in 60 days! The normal occurrence is 1 in 2.7 years. But then again, we are living in very exciting times. AND THIS ONE FALLS ON PASSOVER!!!!

On the same day as the 2nd full moon in July, known as a Blue Moon, a Meteor hit Iran.

Trend News Agency: Iran has confirmed that a meteor has hit somewhere in the northern part of the country.
The meteor landed in Avaj in the province of Qazvin, Mohammad Ali Ahani, director of Qazvin Crisis Management Staff said, Mehr news agency reported July 31. Also, there have been reports that some pieces of rock have hit areas in Eshtehard, Alborz Province, Arsalan Qasemi, governor of Boeen Zahra, county in Qazvin Province, said. Another local governor of Takestan County, Qazvin Province, said that the area witnessed the passing of the meteor, but nowhere in the district under his supervision had been hit.  (one report was the meteor was 2 meters long, many broken windows)

This happened on the happiest day on the Jewish calendar, Tu B’Av, the 15th of Av. It is celebrated as a day of love, like Valentines Day. Below is from Aish.com, ‘today in history’ or the 15th of Av, which was July 31, 2015.

On this date, four historical events occurred: (1) the Jews of the Exodus generation stopped dying in the desert, (2) intertribal marriage was permitted to post-Exodus generations, (3) the tribe of Benjamin was saved from extinction, (4) the Romans permitted the burial of Jews killed in the Beitar revolt (138 CE). After the Romans had destroyed the Second Holy Temple, the emperor Hadrian planned to transform Jerusalem into a pagan city-state with a shrine to Jupiter on the site of the Temple. This led to the great Jewish revolt of Simon Bar Kosiba (Bar Kochba), whose guerilla army succeeded in actually throwing the Romans out of Israel and establishing, albeit for a brief period, an independent Jewish state. It required large numbers of Roman troops to crush the revolt. Bar Kochba made his final stand in the city of Beitar, located southwest of Jerusalem. It was estimated that hundreds of thousands of Jews lived in Beitar, and they were all massacred “until their blood flowed into the Mediterranean Sea.” Further, the Romans did not allow the Jewish bodies to be buried. According to Jewish tradition, the bodies lay in the open but did not rot, until three years later on the 15th of Av, burial was finally permitted. Today, the standard “Grace After Meals” includes a special blessing recalling this event in Beitar.

Could God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Eternal Holy God, be showing His love for His covenant people and Promised Land by sending a warning from heaven?

What is a Blue Moon? It is the 2nd full moon in one (solar) month.  That year would have 13 full moons instead of the usual 12. 7 times in 19 years there are 13 instead of 12 and 2015 will have 13. The last time this happened was 2012. The full moons of July were the 2nd and the 31st.  The second full moon of the month is called a Blue Moon. Below is a photo from Space.com of that brilliant full moon of July 31.

When someone says “Once in a blue moon” they are saying it is absurd,  may not  or rarely happens.

The color will not actually be blue unless there has been a volcanic eruption, fires or other gases in the atmosphere. The color would only change during unusual sky conditions. When I was in Minnesota in July I observed the Sun being fire red from the smoke of the forest fires in Canada. I have had several people message me about seeing this past moon being brilliant red and the news last night showed it to be orange. The brilliant colors of the moon are not from a lunar eclipse, but rather effects of smoke in the atmosphere from states away.

There are 20 active fires in the following states. Alaska (1), California (8), Montana (3), New Mexico (2), Oregon (2), Washington (3) and Wyoming (1). Only 3 of these fires are contained.

The next Blue Moon is scheduled for August 31, 2012.

The last was December 31, 2009. I wrote a blog on that year June 1, 2011 and called it 2009- When the Heavenly Birth Pains Began. https://mbostrom2.wordpress.com/2011/06/01/2009-when-the-heavenly-birth-pains-began/

What is a Blue Moon? It is the 2nd full moon in one (solar) month.  That year would have 13 full moons instead of the usual 12. The first moon this month was August 1st so 2012 will have 13 full moons. Below is a really cool photo of an airliner leaving Orlando during the first full moon this month.

The color will not actually be blue unless there has been a volcanic eruption, fires or other gases in the atmosphere. The color would only change during unusual sky conditions. The Associated Press reports this week that 220 counties in the United States are in severe drought conditions and many are experiencing out of control fires. For these areas, the moon may actually look blue August 31st.

The next Blue moon is scheduled to happen July 31, 2015. This is significant to me because 2014 and 2015 will have back-to-back blood red moons on Passover and Tabernacles both years. This is called a Tetrad. In history, there have only been 3 times this has happened on these lunar mid-month Feast of the Lord days. There will not be another Tetrad on Passover and Tabernacles in this century following 2015 according to NASA’s computers.

  • 1493 and 1494- After the Jews were expelled from Spain and the Spanish Inquisition
  • 1949 and 1950- After Israel became a nation and immediately went into the War of Independence
  • 1967 and 1968- After the Six Day War when Jerusalem came back into the hands of the Jewish Nation of Israel

All 3 had to do with the Jews and followed wars. Question, will there be a war involving Israel before 2014? Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, Psalm 122:6.
