The life and flesh
John 6:53, Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink the blood, you have no life in you. (54) Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (55) For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. (56) He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. (57) As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.”
Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement for your souls. (14) for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I say to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, (speaking of animal blood) for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off’.”

Precious
I Peter 1:2, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: (18) knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, (19) but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Necessary
Hebrews 9:18, Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without the blood. (19) For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both kook itself and all the people (20) saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.” (21) Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. (22) And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. (23) Therefore it is necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifice than these. (24) For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: (25) not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another- (26) He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. (27) And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (28) so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Conquering/Victory
Revelation 12:11, And they overcame him (the accuser of the brethren) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Reconciling
Ephesians 2:13, But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (16) and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Redemptive
Romans 3:24, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, (25) whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.
Ephesians 1:7, In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (13) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
Acts 20:28, Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Justifying
Romans 5:9, Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 3:24, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (25) whom God set forth as a propitiation through His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.

SANCTIFYING
Hebrews 10:29, Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
Hebrews 13:12, Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. (13) Therefore let s go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

ETERNAL
John 6:53, (Amplified) And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood]. (54) He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day. (55) For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink. (56) He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him.

Cleansing
Revelation 7:14, And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb”.
I John 1:6, If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. (7) But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Communion
I Corinthians 10:16, (Amplified) The cup of blessing [of wine at the Lord’s Supper] upon which we ask [God’s] blessing, does it not mean [that in drinking it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the blood of Christ (the Messiah)? The bread which we break, does it not mean [that in eating it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the body of Christ?
I Corinthian 10:25, (Amplified) Similarly when supper was ended, He took the cup also, saying, This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink [it], to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance.

Heavenly joy
Revelation 7:9-14, “After this, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number… which stood before the throne, and before the Lamb… and they cried with a loud voice saying, ‘Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb’. These are they which came out of great tribulation and have washed their robes and make them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

Access to God
Hebrew 9:7, But into the second part the high priest went alone, once a year, not without the blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance. (11) But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. (12) Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once and for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (18) Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood.
Hebrews 10:19, Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, (20) by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, (21) and having a High Priest over the house of God (22) let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Cleansed Conscience
Hebrews 9:14, (Amplified) How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?

Peace
Hebrews 13:20, (Amplified) Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and Giver of peace], Who brought us again, from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, but the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament), (21) strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will: [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages) Amen (so be it)

Protection
Exodus 12:13, “Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”
Joshua 2:18, unless you bind this line of scarlet cord (representing the blood) in the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household to your own home. (6:17) Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. (23) And the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her father, her mother, her brothers and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the camp of Israel.
Isaiah 65:8, Thus says the Lord: “As the new wine is founding the cluster, and one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it’, so I will do for My servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.”

The Blood of Jesus is Alive
The Blood of Jesus purges me of ever defilement of the enemy.
The Blood of Jesus keeps and guards my mind day and night.
The Blood of Jesus prevents deception
and aborts every attempt of the enemy to deceive me.
The Blood of Jesus is my divine covering
and protection against all the fiery darts of the evil one.
Yea, the Blood of Jesus is Alive!
So full of life and grace it perfects that which concerneth me-reconciling everything in me to the perfect will of God every day and in every way.[1]

The following quotes are taken from the book Free at Last by Larry Huch:[2]
The Jewish people understood the teaching of the blood. When they needed forgiveness, they put the blood on the altar of the temple. When they needed mercy, they put blood on the mercy seat. When they needed to hear from God, they put blood on the veil so they could enter into the Holy of Holies and be in the presence of God. When they needed peace, they brought a blood sacrifice. When they needed healing, they brought a blood sacrifice. Every time they needed a miracle, they offered a blood sacrifice. (See Leviticus 1-7)[3]

But believers in Jesus Christ aren’t bound by the Law of Moses. By Jesus’ death on the cross, Jesus became the curse so that we can be delivered from the curse and be a blessing to our family, church, city, and nation. Poverty is a curse. Sickness is a curse. Disease is a curse. Divorce is a curse. Drugs, alcohol, and abuse are all part of the curse. When we are under the blood of Jesus, we are redeemed from the curse. As He hung dying on the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). Our redemption through the new blood was made complete at the cross.[4]

Seven Places Jesus Shed His Blood: Before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with the finger seven times…Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, cleanse it, and consecrate it. (Leviticus 16:14, 19) Jesus shed His blood seven places that you and I might be made whole, forgiven of our sins, and set free from the bondage of sin and the iniquity that has entered into our families.[5]
In Gethsemane, Jesus won back our willpower; Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation. (Luke 22:43-46) The first Adam surrendered our willpower to Satan. The second Adam, Jesus, redeemed our willpower by saying, “Father not My will, but Thy will, “and sweating great drops of blood. Jesus won the battle, broke the curse, redeemed us, and gave us back our willpower. Because Jesus shed His blood, you can say yes to the will of God for your life and no to the enemy of your life.[6]

The Stripes on Jesus’ back won back our health: But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) All sickness, no matter where it comes from – birth, inheritance, injury – is from the devil.[7]

Jesus’ crown of thorns won back our prosperity: Because you heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, “You shall not eat of it”, Cursed is the ground for your sake: for toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread till you return to the ground. (Genesis 3:17-19) On the way to Pilate, as they were mocking Jesus, “All hail, King of the Jews,” they saw a thorn bush – the symbol of the curse of poverty on the land. They took some of the thorn bushes, wove them into a crown, and placed them on the brow of Jesus until the blood flowed from His head. (See Matthew 27:29) The symbol of poverty was placed on the brow of Jesus, the second Adam. When those thorns pierced His brow, He shed His blood for our redemption from poverty. We were cursed with poverty by the sweat of Adam’s brow, but we were redeemed from the curse of poverty by the blood on Jesus’ brow. What Satan means for evil, God will use for good.[8]

Jesus’ pierced hands won back dominion over the things we touch: When Jesus bled from His hands, dominion was returned to God’s children. That means whatever evil we encounter, we have authority in Jesus’ name to render it harmless. They shall take up serpents: and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. (Mark 16:18) You need to lay hands on your children, and say, “I break the iniquity off my kids. I break the iniquity off my family.” You need lay hands on your child’s pillow and declare that they are going to serve God. You need to lay your hands on your children’s school and cover it with the blood of Jesus. If you have an unsaved husband, lay your hands on your husband’s pillow and release the anointing of the Spirit of God. Take authority over those demons of iniquity and, all of a sudden, Dad is going to start opening the Bible and reading it. He said he would never go to church, but now he’s getting the blood of Jesus the moment you take authority over the enemy, and the Holy Spirit is loosed to bring God’s promises to pass in your life.[9]

Jesus’ pierced feet won back dominion over the places we walk: The blood shed from His feet also redeemed us from our loss of dominion and authority. Man was supposed to be the head and not the tail. Man was supposed to be above only and not beneath. (see Deuteronomy 28:13) … But through Jesus’ shed blood, we don’t have to be trampled by Satan. Instead, we are to trample him! We are commanded to “go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” (Mark 16:15 NIV) As believers, you have the authority to walk around your neighborhood and say, “I bind the devil in my neighborhood. I bind the drug addicts and the dope dealers.” You can walk through the schools and say, “I bind violence, I bind homosexuality, I bind perversion, and I bind the New Age teaching.” Because wherever you go, God is with you. When you bind the devil, our next step is to loose the peace of Jesus in our streets. Loose the righteousness of Jesus in our cities. Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18 NASB)[10]

Jesus’ pierced heart won back our joy: But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they broke not his legs; but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. (John 19:34 KJV) Jesus was anointed with the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God to heal the brokenhearted. Why the brokenhearted? Because God desires for His people to live in joy. When we are filled with joy, we have the strength to fight the good fight of faith. The joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) God can take even the worst things that happen to you and turn them to good. No matter what it is, the power of Jesus’ blood will reverse it to your prosperity and your blessing. Healing broken hearts is not something we can do ourselves; it is something God has already done. We must claim it.[11]

Jesus’ bruises won our deliverance from inner hurts and iniquities: But He was wounded for our transgression, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) Not only was He wounded for our transgressions; this verse says, “He was bruised for our iniquities.” As we discussed before, iniquity means “a wicked act or sin,” but the Holy Spirit has shown me that iniquity can also be understood as any spirit that breaks us down. It is a spiritual force on the inside that pressures us to bow or bend under its destructive nature. When someone has suffered a physical blow, they develop a discolored bruise. Yet a person who has been bruised on the inside often doesn’t show that hurt on the outside. We go around to one another saying, “How are you doing?” We reply, “Great, man!” but on the inside we are saying to ourselves, “Horrible.” We say on the outside that things are tremendous, but on the inside we are saying, “I’m dying.” Jesus shed his blood on the inside as well as on the outside.. He was bruised inside to change the person on the inside, to change that nature that causes them hurt or suffering.[12]

The Blood Covenant
E. W. Kenyon wrote, “Some one is going to rise and understand this. Some body of people is going to enter into it. I have a conviction that this is the eleventh hour message, that this is the message for the Church today. In the troubled days that lie ahead, we are going to require all that God can give us, and be to us, to stand the tests we are going through. And will go through. Satan, knowing that his days are shortened, is coming to the earth with all his host and we are going to pass into a period of spiritual conflict such as the world has never known. This will not only be for persecution, but it will be demons breaking and crushing the spirit of the church in the individual.”[1] The book I got this statement from was copyrighted in 1969 and Dr. Kenyon went on to glory March 19, 1948, before Israel once again became a nation. He believed he was in the eleventh hour, so we must be very close to midnight on God’s clock and the end of the Church Age.

Several weeks prior to Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) in September, the Lord instructed me not to take communion for just myself anymore, but for my cluster; those I am connected to naturally and spiritually. This instruction was based on Isaiah 65:8, “Thus says the Lord, ‘As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it,’ So will I do for My servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.”

I realized that as a “watchman”, this was instruction for protection during times of harvest judgment. To build up my faith in communion, I took out my file of notes and all my books on the power of the Blood of Jesus and communion. Then I began to practice daily communion, including my cluster in all the provisions of Blood Covenant. (“Faith without works is dead”, James 2:18)

Dutch Sheets wrote, “God is raising up prophetic intercessors- watchmen – to keep the serpent out! Men and women who will “lean forward, peering into the distance” watching for the enemy’s attacks. Sentries, bodyguards, gatekeepers, boundary setters and preservers in His kingdom. It is indeed, a high calling!” [2]

Communion, the Lord’s Supper, Eucharist
The word Eucharist comes from the Greek word eucharisteo (pronounced yu-kha-re-ste-a) is found in I Corinthians 11:24, meaning give thanks, thank, be thankful. “And when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat: this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” We are not to be like Job (Job 1:5, 3:25) and stand in the gap for our family out of fear, but to be thankful for what has already been provided for us in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Being thankful is an act of faith. We are standing in faith for our family and the friends we are connected to in our cluster.

The word communion comes from the Greek word koinonia (pronounced koy-nohn-ee-ah) G2842, means fellowship, association, community, joint participation, intercourse
1. To share which one has in anything, participation, i.e., in the benefits of Christ’s death
2. Intercourse, fellowship, intimacy
3. A benefaction jointly contributed, a collection, a contribution, as exhibiting embodiment and proof of fellowship.
This Greek word is used 20 times in 18 verses. Koinonia is used as:
Fellowship, Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 1:9, 2 Corinthians 8:4, Galatians 2:9, Ephesians 3:9, Philippians 1:5, 2:1, 3:42; I John 1:3 (2x) 1:6 and 7
Contribution in Romans 15:26
Communion in I Corinthians 10:16 (2x), 2 Corinthians 6:14; 13:14
Distribution in 2 Corinthians 9:13
Communicate in Hebrews 13:16
Communication in Philemon 1:6

THE BREAD
John 6:22-59 reveal the truths about the bread but the people did not receive it because they were “familiar” with Him as a person, therefore they could not or would not believe. Today, believers have gotten “familiar” with communion as a religious practice and therefore do not believe and receive the full benefit. I believe this is what Paul was referring to as an “unworthy manner” in I Corinthians 11:27, not attributing the “full worth” of Christ’s redeeming work to this action. Three times in the book of Acts, the word “common” is likened to unclean. (10:14, 28; 11:8) We should always come into communion with a teachable heart, realizing we can never exhaust the understanding of everything that has been given to us through Jesus Christ and the Blood Covenant He provided. We must allow ourselves to be FAT believers, Faithful, Available and Teachable. Once we think we really understand something, we cease to learn.

I believe the Apostle John knew Jesus better than any other writer in the Bible. The Gospel of John, 1-3 John and Revelation have a depth of understanding that only can be attained by the closeness and revelation only Jesus can give. John had a better understanding of the love of God and the purposes of Jesus. Just as “God made His ways known to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel” (Psalm 103:6), Jesus allowed His ways to be known to John. The Gospel of John is the only gospel to record the seven “I am’s” of Jesus:
1. I am the bread (6:35, 48, and 51)
2. I am the light of the world (9:5)
3. I am the door of the sheep (10:7)
4. I am the good shepherd (10:11 and 14)
5. I am the resurrection and the life (11:25)
6. I am the way, the truth, and the life (14:6) [the way to the Father, the truth about God, the very life of God]
7. I am the true vine (15:1, 5)

This is how I include my cluster as I partake in communion
I spend much time taking communion in this manner; it is not a hurried or rushed time. As I take the bread, I remember Jesus as the Substitutionary Sacrifice.
E.W. Kenyon wrote:
There is a two-fold oneness: first, His oneness with our sin on the cross; and second, our oneness with Him in His glory on the throne. Ephesians 2:6, ‘And raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus’.
He became as we were, so that we might become as He is.
He died to make us live.
He was made sin to make us Righteous.
He became weak to make us strong.
He suffered shame to give us glory.
He went to Hell in order to take us to Heaven.
He was condemned in order to Justify us.
He was made sick in order that healing might be ours.
He was cast out of the presence of God in order to make us welcome there.
In the fact of redemption we have one of the richest phases in Redemption.”[3]

Not only for me, but for the world, for “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall never perish, but have everlasting life.” (Zoe life, the God-kind of life) John 3:16. Jesus said in John 6:32, “My Father gives you the true bread from heaven”; verses 35 & 48, “I am the bread of life” and verse 51, “I am the living bread”.

This is an unmistakable parallel to God’s covenant name (Yahweh) by which He revealed Himself to Moses in Ex. 3:14, “I AM WHO I AM”. … He is the “real” heavenly bread, the true life-sustaining power, anything else, regardless of its religious significance in past or present, is an inadequate substitute. [4]

THE BLOOD
When it comes to taking the grape juice, representing the Blood of Jesus, I purposely remember all the benefits of the Blood Covenant. “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” (I Corinthians 11:25) I remember that we are brought near to God by the Blood , cleansed by the Blood, washed by the Blood, redeemed by the Blood and protected by the Blood. As I take it, I speak the benefits over Ken and myself, our health, our finances, our home, our assignments with employment and ministry, our cars, etc. Then I began to speak over each member of my immediate family (2 daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren) by name, allowing the blood to flow down over them, cleansing and protecting them as it flows. Next I speak the benefits over my oldest sister and her family and continue through all my siblings and Ken’s siblings and their families. Some times I feel a prompting to stop and focus on one individual as the Lord leads. Always, the Holy Spirit will lead me how to pray for the immediate need of that person. After I have prayed for the ministry partners of KBM, and those I have named here, the Holy Spirit leads me in prayer. Each time I am led to pray for different people in specific ways that are on His heart.

We have more authority in prayer with those we are more closely connected to. Dutch Sheets gives a great illustration of our spheres of authority in his book “Authority in Prayer”: “Picture a small circle with ever-expanding circles around it, much like a target with larger and larger circles around the bull’s-eye. For our discussion, the inner circle would represent us as individuals. As the circles expand and grow larger, they include more people and greater territory. As this increases, our authority decreases, since we are sharing it with others. The second circle might represent an individual’s family, the third circle their city, the next their nation, and so on. Again, as the circles expand outward, our personal authority decreases. No one has more authority over your life than you do. No one has greater authority to pray for you than yourself. We are born with a free will and a right to choose. As far as God is concerned, no one can take it from us. Though our family members have individual authority as they relate to God, we also possess authority to pray for them.”[5]

This is in no way like witchcraft or controlling prayer. We are in a season of judgment and we want to pray for our families to know God through a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, be healthy, have good marriages, keep their jobs, not be homeless etc. The thief comes in any crack to steal, kill and destroy. Praying for your cluster in communion is doing your part to make a way for the Lord to “deliver them from the power of darkness” and convey them into the “kingdom of the Son of His love.” (Colossians 1:13)

I would encourage you to take communion for yourself after you have meditated on the communion as I have outlined, especially the scriptures from John 6 on Jesus as the “true bread”, on the Blood Covenant and the power of the Blood of Jesus. As your faith grows from hearing and meditating on these scriptures, you will be able to expand and include others.

I heard Joyce Meyer say that you need to have victory over a sink full of dirty dishes before you can win the world. Please don’t feel overwhelmed. You do not have to have a theological degree for the Blood of Jesus to protect you and your family. Practice daily communion and meditate on the Blood scriptures and your faith will grow. After all, with Rahab and the Israelites, the righteousness of the people inside the house did not matter, it was the Blood that made the difference in the situation.

The Blood Covenant

I’ve a right to grace, in the hardest place
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;
I’ve a right to peace that can never cease,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant

I’ve a right to joy, that can never cloy,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;
I’ve a right to power, yes, this very hour,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;

I’ve a right to health, thru my Father’s wealth,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;
I my healing take, Satan’s hold must break,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;

I’ve a legal right, now to win this fight,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;
I will take my part with courageous heart,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;

Now my rights I claim, in His Mighty Name,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;
And my prayers prevail, tho all Hell assail,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;

On the ground of the Blood,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;
I will claim my rights, tho the enemy fights,
On the ground of the Blood Covenant;

For many years I have had too little understanding of the Blood of Jesus and how to apply the Blood. Alice Smith of U.S. Prayer Center, Houston, TX was giving a message at our home church when we lived in Galveston and made a statement regarding covering a home with the Blood. She said to never cover the house with the Blood of Jesus until it was cleansed because it only torments the demons in the house and makes everything worse.

Then I was listening to the Healing School messages by Dr. Sandra Kennedy of Whole Life Ministries regarding the Cleansing Power of the Blood and she confirmed what Alice Smith had said. Dr Kennedy said they were having some problems with in her church and one day she got into intercession and began to put a Blood line around her church, covered the church with the Blood and posted the Blood on each door and window. She said that after she had done that the Lord said, “Now what are you going to do? The demons are locked inside the church.”

The third witness was Graham Cooke of Future Training Institute. I have a CD message of his titled: “Enjoying Your Wilderness Experience” and in that message he told of an experience in Mexico. He said he was working in the barrio 16 hours a day and when he got to his hotel room he was so tired he went right to bed. One night 5 demons walked through the wall; he was so tired he told the Lord he was too tired to deal with them so he turned over and went to sleep. The next night the same thing happened. The third night he asked the Lord if this was going to happen again and the reply was yes. He asked for instructions about what to do. The Lord told him to cover the ceiling, floor, walls, and doors with the Blood of Jesus after they had come into the room. Then he was to turn on his worship music loud. The demons were bouncing off the walls; he was laughing so hard he thought he would break his ribs. When the tape ended he asked the Lord if he should turn it over to the other side of the worship tape and the Lord told him to just open the door and dismiss them. He was never bothered again.

These three teachings helped me to realize why things got worse for one of my loved ones when I covered their house with the Blood of Jesus. I was very concerned about Harry Potter and Disney witchcraft that was being allowed in the house and I began to take authority by covering the house, and it seemed that the results were always disastrous. Thank You Jesus for these teachers that have brought me the truth. Now I cleanse the house and my loved ones inside the house as I take communion and I am seeing great results.

Pleading
Plead is a legal word. The entire Bible is a legal document with legal phraseology such as testament, covenant, adoption, mediator, judge, pardon, judgment, redemption, etc.

However, this spiritual court is totally in our favor and works itself out into the natural. We go into the courtroom already in victory because of what Jesus has done for us. The Judge is our Father God (Hebrews 12:23), our Advocate (attorney) is Jesus Christ (I John 2:1, 2) and the prosecutor is the accuser of the brethren, Satan (Revelation 12:10).
The accuser of the brethren accuses us day and night. He does his best to speak lies to us to make us feel unloved, unworthy, undeserving of God’s grace and mercy. He makes the most beautiful people feel ugly, he makes brilliant people feel stupid. He looks for any open door in our life or the lives of our loved ones. These open doors could come by ignorance of the schemes of the devil or deliberate sin.

The Hebrew word for plead is reev. As a verb it means to strive, contend, to conduct a legal case and in its noun form it means a dispute, controversy, case at law. We see this word used in Genesis 31:36 (chided); (plead) Isaiah 3:13; I Samuel 24:15; Micah 7:9; Jeremiah 50:34; Lamentations 3:58; Proverbs 22:23; Psalms 43:1; 119:154; 74:22; (controversy) Deuteronomy 21:5; 25:1.

Another Hebrew word for plead is shawfat meaning plead; have controversy together. It is found in Isaiah 43:25 & 26, “I, even I, am he that blots out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance; let us plead together; declare thou, that thou may be justified.”

In essence, what pleading the blood is accomplishing is freedom from the law of sin and death. When we are in the wrong, we go to Jesus and confess the sin, asking for forgiveness according I John 1:9. Then we can boldly and confidently say, “I plead the Blood, I am not guilty.” The accuser of the brethren has no right in our lives!

The following I got from a great web link: http://www.bible-knowledge.com/Blood-of-Jesus-How-to-Plead-for-Protection-and-Deliverance.html The first thing you are going to want to do is make a personal list of everything that you would like to have God’s protection on. These are what I call the basics. In order to get God’s full protection on something, you have to do the following three things:
Plead the Blood on the object that you want protected.
Plead the Blood against whatever possibly could come against that object.
Then seal the prayer with a statement of faith and belief to God the Father telling Him that you are now going to have full faith and belief that He will now protect you from all of the things that you just Pled the Blood of His Son on.
The above link will bring you into a wonderful teaching with instructions and testimonies of pleading the Blood of Jesus. I suggest you print it out and meditate on it and put it into practice.

Washing/Cleansing
A legal term in property law is squatters’ rights. Dr. Henry Malone describes these rights:
“Squatters’ rights are a recognized means, in property law, of taking possession without an agreement from the landlord. Squatters simply move in and create the appearance of being tenants. Even though they pay nothing and do not have permission to stay on the property, they continue to possess the land. They can stay for a short time or a longer period. They are legally “trespassers,” but because the owner or landlord has made no complaint against them, they cannot be removed. Not even the police can arrest and remove them without a formal complaint. The longer the squatter stay, the more difficult it is for a legal owner or landlord to take back the land.”[1]

Dr. Malone’s practice before going to cleanse a property or house of demonic activity is to first take communion. He says, “It has been my experience that this particular observance brings with it a tremendous anointing and the power to release and reclaim the land.”

Ken and I had this happen to us before we were born again. We lived in Sioux City, Iowa and had experienced strange things happen in the house. We heard voices calling to us from downstairs at night, I had a ironing board almost hit me, our cat would stand at the head of the stairs and hiss with its hair standing up, our children watched things float though the air. We knew this was more than we could handle so we called the only religious fanatic we knew, Ken’s sister Joy. She instructed Ken, as head of the house, to go to each door of each room, read scriptures about the Blood of Jesus and ask the Lord if there was anything in that room that gave the enemy legal right to be there. We went through each room and finally came to the basement storage closet. A Halloween costume box had a ghoulish face on it and it was hot in our hands. We burned the box and never had another problem with ghosts in our home. Ignorantly, we had given the enemy legal right to be in our house by bringing that into our homes. That is the last Halloween we celebrated. Remember, Ken and I were not even saved! The enemy had to answer to the Blood of Jesus.

The Blood of Jesus always cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Squatters’ rights can be applied to persons, businesses or properties- even churches. Any military strategist will tell you that it’s easier to maintain peace than win a war. God expects us to close the doorways in our lives that have given Satan and his demonic forces a point of entry and a place of habitation. That means in our bodies, minds, businesses, families, property, etc.

One of the prayers I pray most for myself is for the washing by the Blood. There are two cleansing agents, the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God. Revelation 1:5, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own Blood.” Ephesians 5:26, “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the Word.”

In our natural body, the blood does more than just carry vital nutrients to your cells. It also carries away waste products and toxins. In other words, the blood is constantly cleansing your whole body. Every moment of ever day, you are literally being washed by your blood! The spiritual parallels are obvious. If we’re rightly related to the blood of Jesus by faith, we can know that His blood is cleansing us through and through. You need to be cleansed daily. Being washed in the blood on a continuing basis will see to it that unrighteousness does not move you away from God, your source of life and blessing.[2]
Sprinkling
In Egypt the blood of the lamb was sprinkled on the doorposts (Exodus 12:12), on Sinai it was sprinkled on the people (Exodus 24:11). This shows us that we can sprinkle the Blood of Jesus over things and people.

Maria Woodworth Etter spoke “I sprinkle the Blood” over her audience and they would all fall out under the power of God.
David Wilkerson wrote “If Christ is Lord of your life, then your door posts — your heart — have been sprinkled by His blood. And this sprinkling is not for forgiveness only — but also for protection! When you are sprinkled, you are totally under the protection of Christ’s blood against all the destroying powers of Satan. When his forces see Christ’s blood on your doorposts, they must pass over you. They cannot touch you—because they cannot touch anyone sprinkled with Christ’s blood!”[3]
Hebrews 9:19 tells of Moses sprinkling the blood. The shed blood of the burnt offerings was contained in a basin. Moses took some of this blood and poured part of it by the altar. Then he took a hyssop, dipped it in the basin and sprinkled some of the blood on the twelve pillars (representing the twelve tribes of Israel). Finally, Moses dipped the hyssop into the basin and sprinkled the blood on the people. This blood covering the people sealed the covenant! The Blood of Jesus sealed the New Covenant. Jesus said, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
The same way a Bible does no good sitting on a table; it must be read and applied. The Blood of Jesus has been shed, but it must be applied in our lives and circumstances by speaking it in faith.
“Life and death is in the power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21. When we, by faith, apply the Blood of Jesus with our words over circumstances, people and things, we are speaking life into those areas. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls.” Leviticus 17:11.
How many people do you think have been condemned as guilty by not speaking, not proclaiming that they are not guilty. “By your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:37. The blood does not cover us automatically; we must apply it by speaking. God supplies, we apply.
Be a child of God who practices the “sprinkling of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ”. Sprinkle it anywhere there is evidence of pressure, tension, or any kind of satanic effort to thwart the complete will of God in your life.[4]
Holding
The old-time saints of God understood the power of resisting the devil (James 4:7) was to hold the Blood of Jesus against Satan.

Rachael Teafitiller, a woman used by God in prevailing prayer for fifty years now, told me, “People quit too soon.”[5]

Mrs. C. Nuzum’s wrote, “I arose one morning and found that I could not stand- I reeled like a drunkard. I said, ‘This is of you Satan; I hold the Blood against you, and declare on God’s Word that it does now overcome you, and that you do now flee.’ The enemy was stubborn, but I continued to believe and repeat what I said until every trace of trouble was gone. I then did a full day’s work, and had no return of the evil.”[6]

As you meditate on James 4:7 and the power of the Blood of Jesus, you will build your faith to immediately stand against any attack on your body, loved ones, home, finances, etc. Remember, it is easier to maintain victory than win a war. It is best to put the truth in your heart when you don’t need it so that it is there when you do need it.

Blood Line
Billye Brim records a great testimony in her book, The Blood and the Glory-
A minister and his wife, named Stevens, were conducting meetings in Canada in a large church. They had left their children at home in southeastern part of the United States in the care of grandparents. The Canadian meetings were inflicting great damage to the kingdom of darkness. Many were coming to new life in Jesus, and many were being set free from bondages of Satan. Don Gossett gave the following account in his book Praise Avenue: Because of this success, the devil became infuriated and began to torment Brother Stevens with the thought that he was going to kill the Stevens’ children. Brother Stevens said, ‘Devil, you’re a liar! You cannot kill my children.’ To this, the devil seemed to say, ‘Oh, yes, I can, for I have put rabies upon the foxes in the woods adjoining your property.’ Immediately, Brother Stevens remembered the reports of friends who had seen foxes roaming on his land before he’d left Tennessee. In simple, childlike faith, Brother Stevens gathered together three older believers. Together they agreed in prayer, and by faith they drew a blood line of protection around the Stevens’ property… A week later, Brother Stevens received a letter from his brother back in Tennessee. He said, ‘Today I was out walking. I walked around the edge of your property. Lying on the boundary of your land I found five dead foxes. We had the heads examined and found they were all rabid’. The foxes had dropped when they tried to cross the Blood line.”

I believe once an area is cleansed; we can draw a blood line around our property or business. We have friends in Galveston whose business was plagued with bad employees who would steal from them. They walked around the property and drew a blood line; the stealing stopped.

Michael Bradley wrote on his web teaching:
Here is another thing that you can do, especially for those of you who own a house with property surrounding it. You can walk around the entire property pleading the Blood of Jesus as you walk completely around it in a circle. What you are doing is applying a Bloodline around your property.
I have read of cases where Christian farmers have done this to protect their livestock and flock from attacks from wild predators. In one case in particular, a farmer was having a problem with some of his farm animals being killed by a wild wolf. He went ahead and applied a Bloodline around his entire property. When he woke up the next day, he found a dead wolf lying about two feet past the point where he had just pled the Blood the day before.
In other words, the wolf had crossed over about two feet into the farmer’s territory and had crossed the Bloodline. The wolf was stricken dead as soon as he crossed this Bloodline. The farmer had no more problems with any of his animals being killed after that one wolf had been struck down.
Pleading the Blood and applying a Bloodline around your house and property can also help protect you from earthquakes or tornadoes. There have been documented cases out in California where some Christian families had pled the Blood over their houses and property.[7]
Wendy Alec told of a vision she had from the Lord: “And finally I saw this huge tornado and it was the financial situation upon the earth. And I saw it come and there was a whole city and the city was devastated and I saw these houses that stayed and they were beautiful and they were completely intact. The eye of the storm passed over these houses but they were completely intact. Nothing was touched. Not their gardens or fences. And the Father said for those of you who have loved HIM, for those of you who have set your heart on HIM. And He kept saying, for those who have kept your substance on Him. He said the destroyer will pass over you because of the Blood of the Lamb, the living Blood of the Lamb was over all of those houses which represent the people who have truly loved the Lord and their substance is set on the Lord. And it was like a canopy, the protection of the Lord, that even as the eye of the storm passed across your life, your finances, your mortgages, passed over the banks. The Lord promised that He is going to keep you, He is not going to let you down, He will not forsake you, He truly is with you and you will see His provision, you will see His love and that you will see what you have intact in his day. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you. Only a spectator will you be.”[8]

In conclusion, Jesus’ blood was never “spilled”. Spilling is the result of an accident. Jesus freely gave His life and volunteered to shed His blood that we might live. (see songs below)
The Blood that Jesus shed for me
Way back on Calvary
O the Blood that gives me strength from day to day
It shall never lose its power
For it reaches to the highest mountain
And it flows to the lowest valley
The blood that gives me strength from day to day
It shall never lose its power
What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus
O precious is the flow, that washes white as snow
No other font I know, Nothing but the Blood of Jesus
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb
Are your garments spotless, are the white as snow? Are you washed in the Blood

Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Dr. Billye Brim wrote- “In Egypt at the first Passover, they applied the blood with a hyssop branch. Since the Lord’s Passion, we apply the Blood by faith. Because we believe in the power of the Blood in our hearts, we apply the Blood with our mouths over the doorposts of our lives.”[1]

Andrew Murray wrote- “As we seek to find out what the Scripture teaches about the blood, we shall see that faith in the blood, even as we now understand it, can produce in us greater results than we have yet known, and in future, a ceaseless blessing may be ours. The blood of Jesus is described as a ‘fountain opened for sin and uncleanness’ (Zechariah 13:1). By the power of the Holy Spirit it streams through the heavenly Temple. By faith I place myself in closest touch with this heavenly stream. I yield myself to it, I let it cover me, and go through me. I bathe in the fountain. It cannot withhold its cleansing and strengthening power. I must in simple faith turn away from what is seen, to plunge into that spiritual fountain, which represents the Savior’s blood, with the assurance that it will manifest its blessed power in me.”[2]

Protection from Earthquakes
In her book, “Under His Wings”, Mrs. Carrie Judd Montgomery said she would never forget the earthquake of April 18, 1906, when she was awakened with a peculiar sense of imminent danger. She believed that God wanted her to by faith put the blood of Jesus over their house and Home of Peace nearby. Then she went back to sleep, “When I again awakened, the house was rocking violently and it seemed almost as through it were lifting from its foundation.”[3] Although there was widespread damage, no damage was done to her home or the House of Peace.

Los Angeles had the strongest earthquake in the history of the city which registered 6.6 January 17, 1994. Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Brenda Steen of Thousand Oaks, CA had been teaching their church body (adults and children) every Sunday evening for several months. The night before the earthquake the Lord told her to “Make much of the blood.” They concluded their service that evening with every family taking communion together, the head of each household serving their family members. Pastor Brenda Steen said, “I don’t care if we do live in Southern California. I don’t care if my house is on top of a fault line; my house will not be destroyed.” At 4:31am the next morning the 6.6 earthquake hit and every member of that church was spared. Their home, businesses, whatever they covered in blood was spared.

My favorite story is of the overcoming victory in a mobile home park. Jennifer Clark recalls, “Our house was shaking violently. I could feel the back end of the house being lifted off the jack stands. Our waterbed was thrown in the air. I screamed, ‘In the Name of Jesus, I pray the Blood of Jesus over my children, myself and my house!’ Instantly, the house settled back in place. “Then I heard our ten-year-old daughter, Christina, shout, ‘I plead a Blood ring around this whole park!’ The next morning I saw indentations in a perfect line marking where the trailer had lifted on one end and wrinkled the metal. I believe when I prayed an angel set my home back down.” Fifty to ninety percent of all homes in mobile home parks in the area were devastated. Yet, in Jennifer Clark’s mobile home park, only three out of 240 were lost. Jennifer believes those three were damaged before Christiana got the words ‘I plead a Blood ring around this whole park’ out of her mouth.[4] (I sat next to a member of this church during a flight and was fascinated as she recalled all the miracles that happened at that time because they had an understanding of the power of the Blood of Jesus.)

Hurricanes
In the spring of 2005, Prophet Chuck Pierce of Glory to Zion Ministries gave a prophetic word for the Gulf Coast. (Sorry, I have mislaid that prophetic word) He said that Galveston would be shaken for three days with a terrible storm. II Chronicles 20:20 says, “Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets and you shall prosper.” We believed that warning and intercessors all over the island began to pray and put a Blood line around Galveston Island. Hurricane Rita came in with a vengeance and was feared to totally wipe out the island. At the last minute it turned, lessened in force and went into the Golden Triangle area of East Texas. The months prior to that hurricane I taught many messages at my weekly Bible Study. Before we evacuated we took communion and put our trust on the Blood of Jesus.

Scorpions, Poisonous Attacks, Disease
Kenneth E. Hagin relates this story in The Triumphant Church:
A missionary told an interesting testimony once about the power in the blood of Jesus for protection. This woman was left alone in a mission station in a foreign field, and a peculiar kind of scorpion was common in that area. Its stings were deadly: no one had ever survived who was stung by it. This missionary was down in the village one day, and one of these deadly scorpions stung her. It scared her at first because she was alone in the missionary station; all the other missionaries were gone. She related, “At first, I panicked. Then I just said, “I plead the blood of Jesus against this scorpion and sting.” The natives in that area all watched her, expecting her to fall down dead. But she never did swell up or show any sign of sickness whatsoever. Those natives watched her as she went on about her business. In fact, the whole village followed her around because they were sure she was going to die. That missionary never did experience any ill effects. She just pled the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and stood on her covenant rights of protection, and she never experience any harm. (Isaiah 54:17; Mark 16:18; Luke 10:19) As a result of that miracle, most of those natives were saved. Yes, we have to deal with Satan and those things that try to come against us to hurt and destroy us, but there is victory in Jesus and in His blood. Let’s not magnify the devil and his work and what he’s doing in our lives. Let’s magnify the victory we have in our blood covenant in Christ over all the works of the devil.[5]

Mrs. C Nuzum wrote: “We must trust the blood of Jesus to deliver us from pain and sickness and disease, for that Blood has brought us away from disease. No matter in what way the enemy comes, whether in discouragement, temptation, sickness, or any other way, he is overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. When Satan tries to put any of his work on us we may say, ‘I have a right to be free from this, for Jesus bought me away from you. You have no claim on me.’ In a town in Texas there were four persons in an auto; they were struck by a train and three of them were killed, but one girl in that auto was under the protection of the Blood, and she came out without a scratch. In Mexico there are scorpions, and many people die as a result of their sting. One of our missionaries was stung by one of them, and it seemed that he would die or lose his arm. I was once stung by one of them, but cried out for the Blood to be upon it, and it did not swell nor pain me; the poison could not take hold because of the power of the Blood.”[6]

Salvation of Loved Ones
Marilyn Hickey writes about a woman who was in the ministry, but her husband of 15 years was not serving God. “She combined the blood with three simple scriptures: according to II Corinthians 4:3, 4, she began to pray that the blindness be removed form Art’s eyes; that laborers are sent to him (Matthew 9:38); and that Art’s heart be washed in the blood of Jesus, according to Hebrews 9:13, 14. Though Billie had asked for laborers before, she never realized that a ‘spiritually blind’ person can’t see or hear the laborers; so she prayed Ephesians 1:17, 18 several times a day to ready him for the laborers.”[7] Because of these biblical prayers, the Blood and the Word were effective and they are now serving God together.

Resisting
“Therefore submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you”. James 4:7

This is a wonderful promise from God. The word resist here in Greek is anthistemi, from anti, “against” and histemi, “to cause to stand”. This verb means vigorously opposing, bravely resisting, standing face-to-face against an adversary, standing your ground. Just as antihistamine puts a block on histamine, anthistemi tells us that with the authority and spiritual weapons granted to us we can withstand evil force.

One of our spiritual weapons is by faith, holding the blood of Jesus against any attack of the enemy on our lives, the lives of our loved ones (and those in our cluster), our property and any part of our lives. Dr Roy Hicks wrote, “The key to victory and success is this: Steadfastly resist the devil.”[8]

“Do not limit the power of the Blood of Christ to what you understand. There is no greater mystery in the Christian life than the worth and power of His blood. Apply it by faith. Be a child of God who practices the ‘sprinkling of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.’ Sprinkle it anywhere there is evidence of pressure, tension, or any kind of satanic effort to thwart the complete will of God in your life. God wants it for a witness, “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things…” Hebrews 12:24) Praise the Lord the blood speaks.”[9]

When there is judgment in the land God always makes a way of escape for His children. I have found in my studies that the protection always is a symbol of the Blood of Jesus.

In Exodus 12:1-13, God showed Moses how the Israelites were going to be protected when judgment came upon the land to kill the firstborn of every family. Vs 13 reads, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” Does this mean that God kills people? No, I do not believe He does because Jesus said in John 10:7, Verily, verily I say to you…(10) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Everything Jesus did on this earth is an example of the true nature of God. However, I do believe that He does lift His protective hand and the destroyer is allowed to do the chaos he has wanted to do for years.

Dr. Billye Brim writes about this night in her book, The Blood and the Glory, “On this night God would lift His withholding hand and allow the destroyer to execute the sentence of the law of sin and death.” I believe this is what happened with 9/11, God lifted His protective hand. Many intercessors prayed for weeks before the event because God showed them it was coming. One old time intercessor said, “God showed me it could not be stopped, but by prayer it could be lessened.” There could have been over 50,000 deaths from that disaster, but because of prayer there were fewer than 4,000.

The Israelites were instructed to take a lamb for each household and strike the blood with hyssop onto the lintel and two doorposts of their home, and not to come out from that covering. Where they all righteous in each home? I am sure there were in-law problems, marriage problems and rebellious children. They were all protected, not by their righteousness, but because of the blood. When they were released from captivity they all went out healed, delivered from slavery and wealthy. All this protection and benefits were because of the blood, a symbol of the Blood of Jesus, our Passover Lamb. I Corinthians 5:7, “…Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.”

Next we see the example of Rahab the Harlot in Joshua 2 & 6. Joshua 2:12 reads, “Now, therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the Lord, since I have showed you kindness, that you will also show kindness unto my father’s house, and give me a true token, (13) and that you will save alive my father, my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives unto death.” Rahab, a harlot, dared ask for her unbelieving family and all their possessions. (Lord, help us to be that bold for our families) Notice, Rahab is the only one of her family that was ever mentioned to believe in the Hebrew God, Jehovah. None of her family was ever mentioned again in the genealogies, but Rahab was mentioned many times because of her faith. She was the great grandmother of King David, and it was believed she married one the spies she protected in Jericho. Her faith put her in the Hebrews hall of fame in Chapter 11.

What was the true token? It was a scarlet cord hung outside her window. I wonder if the spies told her stories about how they were protected by the blood in Egypt when the land was under judgment. Whether she knew the story behind the blood protection or not, the only reason the entire family and all their possession were saved when Jericho was judged was because of the symbol of the blood, a symbol pointing to the saving power of the Blood of Jesus.

The word “true token” is an interesting word, tiqvah, #8615, meaning hope, expectation, something yearned for and anticipated eagerly; something for which one waits. Hatikvah is the name of Israel’s national anthem. (click link at the bottom of this page for the anathem) This word is also used in Hosea 2:15, God’s blessing on His land will transform the Valley of Achor (trouble) into the “door of hope”, (door of tiqvah). Rahab hung a sign, a true token, a symbol of hope that her and her family would be saved and delivered, even if the entire city collapsed around them.

The first instance I see in the Bible of one family member saving the family is with Noah in Genesis 6-7. Genesis 6:13 reads, “And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them, and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. (14) Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.”

Two words stand out to me in verse 14, cover and pitch. The word “cover” in Hebrew (Strong’s Concordance) is #3722, kaphar, a prime root; to cover, expiate or condone, to placate or cancel; appease, make atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive , be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation)

The word “pitch” is #3724, kopher, a cover, a village (as covered in); bitumen (as used for coating), and henna plant (as used for dyeing); a redemption price; bribe, ransom, satisfaction, sum of money, village

Both words speak of a merciful covering. In Exodus and Leviticus, when the mercy seat is mentioned, the word “mercy” is #3727, kapporeth, from #3722, a lid (used only of the cover of the sacred Ark); mercy seat.

Genesis 9:22 reads, “And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.” In the Hebrew writing, Ham did more than see the nakedness, it was a homosexual act. Yet, God in his great mercy because of Noah, spared Noah’s heathen son from destruction.

I heard a message from a pastor in Louisiana who was taken to heaven where he saw the true Mercy Seat. He said the blood was still dripping on the Mercy Seat and every time it dropped it cried out “Mercy”. Hebrews 12:24 reads, “Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.” Abel’s blood cried for vengeance from the ground, the Blood of Jesus cries for mercy. (Genesis 4:10)

Rahab, Noah and the one who applied the blood to the doorpost all saved their entire families and their possessions when there was judgment on the land.

In the New Testament we read in I Corinthians 7:14, “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.” I like how the Amplified Bible expounds sanctified or set apart “(separated, withdrawn from heathen contamination, and affiliated with the Christian people)”. It also expounds on the children not being unclean; “(unblessed heathen, outside the Christian covenant)”.

This does not mean they will automatically be saved and go to heaven. Each of us must make a choice individually to accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. But these examples give us faith that we can believe that when everything is going wrong in the world around us, the Blood of Jesus is able to protect, set us apart and deliver us from danger and destruction that is coming on the land and God shows favor to our cluster.

Isaiah 26:9b reads “…for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” Do they really? Some may, but this is not the best way to learn righteousness (God’s way of doing and being right). When there was a judgment in Egypt, Pharaoh’s heart got harder and harder. After 9/11, for a time sinners turned to God, but there was not wide-spread righteousness in America. In fact, it seemed the people got more wicked.

Romans 2:4b reads “the goodness of God leads you to repentance.” My belief is that more people will be converted by the goodness of God than by the fear of what God will do to them. (I am not referring to sloppy agape, where you continue to sin because God is so good) When we take communion for our cluster, those who are in our family and those who are connected to us by way of faith are coming under the protection of the Blood of Jesus. And when they see that they are spared during calamity and others are not, I believe they will know it is of God and they will turn to Him.

When I take communion, I visualize the Blood of Jesus running down onto those in my cluster whom I am praying for. I visualize it much like Psalm 133:2 speaks of unity, “It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.” I visualize that blood washing away the scales from their eyes so they can see, cleaning out their spiritual ears so they can hear, washing off the filth of the world and the lies of the enemy. I visualize the Blood of Jesus setting them apart to serve God.

An old-time intercessor, Jeanne Wilkerson was told by the Lord, “Tell the people not to be concerned over My soon appearing because of lost loved ones. Tell them to name them to Me in prayer. Those whose names they call to Me in faith, I will see that they make it if I have to wrestle them on their beds in the nighttime.

Isaiah 65:8, Thus says the Lord, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it.’ So will I do for My servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.”

During the three feast seasons in Israel there is a harvest time. At Passover (Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruit) is the barley harvest, Pentecost is the wheat harvest and at the fall feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur, Tabernacles) it is the grape harvest. This is the final harvest and other things are harvested at this time, but I want to focus on the grape cluster for this truth. Wine is also a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

These three feasts are known as Shalosh R’galim. Regel means foot, im at the end makes it plural. This is the season they were required to take their feet and travel to Jerusalem to give an offering for their harvest. That way they would never forget that it was God who made them prosper. Shalosh Regalim means three times and is also found in Numbers 22:28 when the donkey asked Balaam why he hit her three times.

Grapes are not picked individually, but in a cluster. When you look at the cluster you will see some that are too ripe, some that are too small and some that are just right. The cluster is not judged by the individual grapes, but by the cluster. They are used together to make “new wine”. When an apple or orange are picked, they are judged good or bad individually. Judgment is a harvest word, some are judged good and some are judged bad.

A computer cluster is a group of linked computers, working together closely so that in many respects they form a single computer. Cluster is a word for a family of things connected together such as cancer cluster, cells, stars, etc.

Each man is judged individually by God’s standards, but there is also a harvest season, a fulfillment when a nation is judged. But during times of judgment on the land, it is never God’s will that the harvest of sin due to the wicked should come on the righteous. Psalm 91:7-8 promises that “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thy eye shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked.”

When believers come together to minister, there is a corporate or “cluster” anointing that results in considerable supernatural power to destroy the works of the enemy kingdom. One person may have an anointing to heal, but multiply the number and you multiply the anointing. Each individual of the 70 disciples was anointed, but Jesus sent them out two by two for more glory of God. Agreement multiplies power, that is why the husband and wife have such power when they are in unity. I don’t think that God is as concerned about individual ministry as much as He is concerned about Body ministry.

Derek Prince gives the ratio illustration of one righteous person protecting one thousand in his book Shaping His Story Through Prayer and Fasting[1]. He gives an example of the size of Sodom according to history as being no less than ten thousand. God assured Abraham that ten righteous persons could by their very presence preserve a city of at least ten thousand. Derek Prince states “The same ratio of “one among a thousand” is given in Job 33:23 and in Ecclesiastes 7:28, and both these passages suggest that the “one” is a person of outstanding righteousness, while all the remainder fall below God’s standards.”

He gives some wonderful teaching in that book on how the believer is to be “salt” while on this earth as a preservative. “The process of corruption was already at work before the meat was salted. Salting did not abolish the corruption, but it held it in check for the duration of the voyage, so that the sailors could continue to eat the meat long after it would otherwise have become inedible.” The mystery of lawlessness spoken about in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 is already at work in this earth, it is already in the process of corruption, but the church is supposed to be the salt, the restraining power, which holds back the full and final evil time of the Antichrist. I believe that as we get together in unity, we can hold back some of the judgment coming to this nation because of the lawlessness and wicked harvest of sin.

We live in South Texas, the Gulf Coast area, and have weathered many hurricane challenges. Some the Lord showed me that could be stopped and some could be lessened. I saw first hand from 2005-2008 that some hurricanes could not be stopped but we could lessen the damage through prayer.

Pastor James Goll wrote in his article on www.elijahlist.com March 2004, “A fresh understanding of covenant relationships and community will be birthed as this generation arises out of self-centered individualistic ministry and seeks the common good of the Body of Christ. Divine Alliances will be formed resulting in greater progress being accomplished. The fresh work of the Holy Spirit will occur as the “cluster anointing” comes to pass.”

Cindy Jacobs wrote, “One grape does not contain enough wine to have much affect on anybody. But when many grapes contribute to the wine, then there is enough to make a big impact. Spiritually, when a cluster anointing exists, it causes you to dream bigger dreams than you can dream by yourself, It enables you to be part of accomplishing something for God that is larger than anything you could do alone.”

Psalm 133:1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (2) It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.”

God does not think like we think. What pleases Him is unity. I remember when Kenneth E. Hagin had a prophetic word for the years. When he got to the year 2006 he had no words to describe it, the glory of it was so wonderful. I remember so many of us wondering what it was, and when the year passed we said “what happened, where was the glory?” That was the Azusa Street 100 year celebration, when the leaders of all the charismatic, Pentecostal denomination got together in unity. My, how that must have pleased God! Dr. Billye Brim speaks of how tears fell down her cheeks as she experienced the unity. That is when she understood what Dr. Hagin had seen for 2006.

The Lord instructed me in August not to take communion for myself any more, but for the cluster. This is where we will begin next lesson.

First I would like to refresh you with the teaching I sent out for the Jewish New Year. On September 25, 2008, I wrote in my cover email for the Teshuvah (times of repentance) teaching #45-9.24.08, about the number “9”. Rosh Hashanah, the head “rosh” of the Jewish civil New Year began Monday evening, September 29th. That holiday began the year 5769, counting from the year history dates Adam being placed on the earth. That “9” year will coincide with our new year January 1, 2009.

When doing my numerical study for the Hebraic meaning of the year, I was shocked to find out that the number 9 had much meaning of judgment. Here is what I wrote in that email:

The number nine is a most remarkable number in many respects. It is held in great reverence by all who study the occult sciences; and in mathematical science it possesses properties and power which are in no other number. It is the last of the digits, and thus marks the end; and is significant of the conclusion of a matter. It is akin to the number six, six being the sum of its factors (3×3=9 and 3+3=6) and is thus significant of the end of man, and the summation of all man’s works. Nine is therefore, THE NUMBER OF FINALITY OR JUDGMENT, for judgment is committed unto Jesus as “The Son of man”. It marks the completeness, the end and issue of all things as to man – judgment of man and all his works. It is a factor of 666, which is 9 times 74.

The gematria of the word “Dan”, which means a judge, is 54 (9×6).

Hebrews 3:11, my wrath (tee orgee mau), =999 {so I swore in my wrath they shall not enter My rest}

The solemn amen or “verily”, of our Lord, amounts also to 99, summing up and ending His words.

The sieges of Jerusalem have been 27 in number, or three times nine, and they are stamped with a number of Divine completeness (3) and the number of judgment (9)

The judgments of God in Hagaii are enumerated in nine particles: “And I called for a drought in the land, ….mountains….corn….new wine… oil….ground….men….cattle….labor of the hands.”

There are nine words used from the root right or judgment:- (1) right, right proceeding judgment (2) right, just as it should be (3) to account righteous (4) the state, or quality, or condition of him who is right (5) justly, rightly (6) a righteous act or requirement (7) is the action of the judge in promulgating a decree, in declaring or recognizing a person as right (8) is the judge (9) is the righteous judgment of the judge (all are in Greek in the New Testament)

The following words, among others, occur 9 times, and are all connected in some way with judgment:- [1] (abussos) bottomless pit, or deep [2] (asebees) ungodly [3] (aselegeia) lasciviousness [4] (astrapee) lightning

Now the interesting part of what happened over the fall feast days:

Source- www.watch.org, November 14, 2008:
The stock market crash of 2008
In 2008, Rosh Hashanah began on the evening of September 29, while Yom Kippur began on the evening of October 9.

On Rosh Hashanah eve in the U.S. (September 29), the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) closed down a record-setting 777.68 points. Israel was already celebrating Rosh Hashanah at the time of the Dow close.

Dr Elliott Snyder wrote: Seven is the number of God, and 777 could represent, “Holy, Holy, Holy.” This is God’s signature, the manner in which the angels praise the Sovereign God in Isaiah 6:3. This is also reflected in 7- Seal, 7-Trumpet and 7-Bowl Judgments, in the events of things to come as outlined in Revelation 6:19. I believe Rosh Hashanah shofar (Feast of Trumpets) was a heralding, proclamation or announcement of God’s weighing our nation in the balance beginning at the start of the 10 Days of Awe. The judge is entering the room.

The eyes of the financial world were fixed upon the 777-point drop, the largest single one-day point decline in the history of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) although not the largest percentage drop.

There was an anomaly at the opening bell when there was no opening bell! At 9:30 am ET a mechanical bell should have rung. As the CNBC countdown to the opening reached zero, there was puzzlement at the podium as the bearer of the gavel awaited the opening bell in vain. After about a minute even without the bell, trading began.

The next morning, the bell worked. CNBC had made a big deal over the bell having never failed to ring before; it had failed on the morning of 9/29. On 9/30 the bell worked at 9:30 AM; however, with the camera fixed on the podium, there was no one manning the gavel!

Yom Kippur (the Jewish Day of Atonement) began at sundown on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and ended at nightfall on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Yom Kippur, literally “Day of Atonement”, is the holiest day of the Jewish year……….. Yom Kippur is observed eight days after Rosh Hashanah. Jews believe that on Rosh Hashanah, God inscribes all of their names in the “books”; and on Yom Kippur, the judgment entered in these books is sealed. Yom Kippur is, essentially, the last chance to demonstrate repentance and change God’s judgment. On Yom Kippur, one’s fate for the coming year is sealed.

Dow falls 678.91

Dr. Elliott Snyder wrote: On Yom Kippur eve in the U.S. (Oct. 9), the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) closed down 678.910 (6,7,8,9,10) The odds of this precise sequence arising are 1:99,999.

Following the 10 Days of Awe, on the Day of Atonement or Judgment, God sent another numerical message through the fall of the stock market. Specifically, God has judged the nation in accordance with the Noahic law. This is spelled out in the second table of the Ten Commandments- specifically, 6-10- by the Dow falling exactly 678.910. As the sun had already set in Jerusalem, God was telling us that we have been weighed in the balance of the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th commandments and found wanting. God has spoken for all with eyes to see and ears to hear.

One of the worst seven-day declines in Wall Street history occurred during this year’s Days of Awe.

What happened Saturday, November 15, 2008?
Cheshvan 17 is the anniversary of when the floods opened and Noah and his family was taken up on the ark. “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” Genesis 7:11.

The Torah reading for that Shabbat day was Genesis 18:1-22:24- Haphtarah/ 2 Kings 4:1-37, (2 Peter 2:4-11 added for born again Jews)

The Genesis reading covers when Abraham entertains three angels, (9) Sarah reproved (17) destruction of Sodom revealed to Abraham (23) he interceded for it.

2 Kings 4:1-38 covers Elisha and the widow’s oil, (8) promises to the Shunammite, (18) raises dead son

2 Peter 2:4-11 covers the doom of false teachers, covering the flood during Noah’s time and Sodom and Gomorrah.

This is the day the G20 (global financial powers) held a summit in Washington DC regarding the financial crisis.

This is also known as “Sharia Compliant Financing Forum”, US Treasury to Host.

What is Sharia Financing? Islamic banking. SELAH!

(Please Note: This was first written November 20, 2008 but many could not manuver my last blog site)

I was extremely busy in ministry matters from September to the beginning part of November. It seemed that I was getting so much revelation so fast from the throne room, but had no way to give it out. I felt like I was pregnant and looking for the day of delivery. One day at the end of October I was getting dressed before the mirror and I heard the Spirit of the Lord speak, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14) A few days later before the same mirror I heard “The shift has begun.”

The Lord showed me in prayer at the beginning of the year that there was going to be a shift in the economy this year, and not to be afraid when I see things happen. Many people have thought they could get away with corruption and greed, but there is always a harvest to the things we have sown.

I Corinthians 10:11, “These things happened to them (Israelites in the wilderness) as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age. (13) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than we can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.” (NLT) The King James says He will show you a “way of escape”. The Amplified Bible expounds the meaning of temptations to be “no temptation or trial has come to you that is not beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear”.

This attached message is the first of five regarding what the Lord has shown for us at this time. Our destination that we will finish will be Isaiah 65:8. “Thus says the Lord; As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it’, so will I do for My servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.”

God has shown me how to be protected no matter what happens on this earth. This protection is not just for us, but for those who are connected to us naturally and spiritually. I hope to get this message out over a week’s period because I feel it is so important. This first chapter, part one, may seem very negative, but I need to have you see prophetically what season we are in right now.

This first message covers the numeric meaning of the year 5769, what happened in our world over those feast days that began with the Jewish New Year 5769 and what is happening right now. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled!” Refuse to fear, turn completely to God and His promises for you today.

Isaiah 65:8, Thus says the Lord, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it.’ So will I do for My servant’s sake, that I may not destroy them all.” The Lord told me August of 2008, from now on you will no longer take communion for yourself, but for your cluster.

The year 5769 and 2009 both end with “9”, and has to do in the Hebrew understanding with finality, judgment or decisions. Harvest is decision time, when there is separation of the good and the bad.

When the grapes are picked, they are picked in a cluster. In that cluster of grapes, there are small, big, ripe and overripe grapes. Grapes are the one of the last things to be harvested and the grapes are always picked in a cluster, not individually. When a nation is judged, it is not the individual that is judged, but the nation. The Bible talks much about the iniquity being “full” and the “land vomiting them out”. [Genesis 15:6, Ezekiel 9:9, Leviticus 18:29]. I believe what we are experiencing in the earth right now is the harvest of sin and wickedness.

When Egypt was judged, the Hebrews in Goshen were spared. The last plague was the death of the first born son, but the Hebrews were spared by the blood of the lamb applied to their doorposts. (Ex 12) When Jericho was judged, Rahab the harlot and all her ‘unrighteous’ family were spared by a scarlet thread hanging from her window. (Joshua 2 & 6) In both cases, the people inside were not spared by their righteousness, but by the signs of the blood- pointing ahead to the Blood of Jesus. Not only were their lives protected, but all their possessions.

In the New Testament we have the example of a believer protecting their home. I Corinthians 7:14, “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.”

Stand in the gap for your family and allow God to draw them with His goodness and you daily take communion for your cluster, those who you are connected with naturally and spiritually. It is time to make much of the Blood of Jesus and overcome (Revelation 12:11). It is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance. When they are spared, I believe it will draw our loved ones to salvation.

This does not mean they will be saved and go to heaven, but they will be protected by your faith in the Blood of Jesus during judgment times, when times are hard. 2 Timothy 3:1 reads in the Amplified Bible, “But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].”

The first example of a family protected by the faith of one righteous person was during the flood, when Noah and his family were spared. The ark was covered with “pitch”, which in Hebrew is kaphar, the same root word as kapporeth, the only word used for the Mercy Seat. The Mercy Seat is the covering over the Ark of the Covenant that contained the Law, the Ten Commandments. James 2:13, “Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

Hear this- If you side with the sin side right now you will be caught in the consequences as the cry of sin comes up to God in fullness. It is time to CRY OUT FOR MERCY. Let’s hold back judgment and earnestly desire with God for “all men to be saved.” James 5:7 tells us the Husbandman (Father God) is waiting for the harvest. It is time to reap souls for the Kingdom of God. Joel 3:14, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.”
