Venus and Pleiades April 3

Posted: April 4, 2020 in Uncategorized

It was very overcast last night so I could not see the conjunction. But I did capture it from my Sky View app on my iPhone.

I was listening to a recording of Pastor Mark Barclay (marktbarclay.com) when he was a speaker at a ministers conference this past January. Towards the end he begins to speak boldly of experiences of calling on the God of the Tithe to rebuke the devourer. When I heard it I was surprised because I had a strong witness in my heart that this was the hour to call on the God of the Tithe.

He shared on how he had called on the God of the Tithe when the doctors said his wife would not survive the assault of cancer in her body. She was determined cancer free 32 days later and the doctor was astounded! He called on the God of the Tithe when his tender age granddaughter was pronounced dead after drowning in the family swimming pool. Immediately after he started to rebuke death and called on the God of the Tithe she began to breathe and is a grown young lady today.

Malachi 3:8 declares, ““For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. (10) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. (11) And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts

Lord of Hosts is Jehovah SabaothJehovah is ‘Lord or Master‘. Sabaoth in Hebrew means “an army going out to war.” This title in the Bible is referred to as ‘Lord of the angel armies’, or ‘Lord of Hosts’. God is always there to defend us, fight our battles, and win our wars. There is no enemy He cannot defeat – nothing is too hard for Him.

When Ken and I were born again in 1982, we tried to tithe, but our bills were too much that we only gave offerings. In 1992 we came to end of our own selves and one of the promises to God we made was that we would always tithe, no matter what. It was not going to be a promise made in fear of God punishing us. This commitment we made was a matter of honor. A commitment to honor Him not just with our time, our service, but our finances. That was 38 years ago, and we have lacked nothing. The first 2 years of tithing was fighting our flesh and fear of lack. But if all we got that week was $10, we sang and waved our $1 to God on the way to Church on Sunday. We rejoiced.

We have given some pretty big tithe checks in these past 28 years and have never regretted our commitment. We have been audited by the IRS twice in those years and both times it was to prove we gave that much to the Church, mission and ministries who were 501(c)3 Religious organizations. Both times we had proof that our giving far outreached 10%.

I was listening to a minister today that I highly respect. He was asked a question about if he thought God was judging the world right now.  He sat back and realized they were in fear of an angry God in heaven, sitting with a baseball bat, ready to punish. I loved his answer that in the time of Egypt, God said that he was going to judge Egypt’s gods.

Numbers 33:4, For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments. (Ex 12:12) In each one of the plagues, God was coming against one of their gods until there was none left.

The minister I was listening to today said, “I believe God is coming against the god of Mammon right now.” I agree.  Matthew 6:24, Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in).” (AMPC) Also read Luke 16:9,11,13.

During these trying times, I am thankful for the GOD OF THE TITHES! I am at peace.

Watchman Nee, “Within the inner chamber the Shulamite has come to see three things: first,  she is black in Adam and comely in Christ; second, by reason of the Lord’s dealings with her she realizes the vanity of her former fleshly and external works of service; third, she recognizes her need for spiritual food and rest. At this instant, therefore, the King responds to her diligent seeking, commends her, and gives her a promise.

KING’S REPLY, Songs 1:8, If you do not know, O fairest among women, follow in the footsteps of the flock, and feed your little goats beside the shepherds’ tents.

O fairest among women (NKJV); Listen, my radiant one— (TPT); loveliest of all women (MSG). First the King answers with kindness for not knowing, not rebuke. Jesus never turns away a seeker. He is wooing her, calling her the ‘most beautiful’. It is amazing how displeased we can be with ourselves, and yet be beautiful to Him.

This 3-fold answer touches the 3 main temptations to pull away

  1. “Follow in the footsteps of the flock”
    1. The King is asking her to make a commitment to serve, minister to others
    2. Footsteps are symbolic of experiences, find someone who has already gone through this dry empty season
    3. We have to absolutely refuse isolation, that is where depression and suicidal thoughts set in. We need to be with strong believers. God’s way of healing is through the Body of Christ. Every part of the Body is needed and important.
    4. Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 24:10
  2. “Feed your little goats”
    1. This is a commitment to servant ministry in our daily lives
    2. Refuse unsanctified idleness (such as sitting on the coach flipping channels)
    3. We each have a responsibility to our family and the young ones that God puts before us.
  3. “Beside the Shepherd’s tents”
    1. This is a commitment to be under spiritual authority
    2. Refuse unsanctified independence – find a good prayer group, Bible Study Group.
      1. One of the best groups I have found is BSF (BSFInternational.org. They have ladies groups, men’s groups, children’s groups and they are studying the same thing all over the world. Right now they are studying The Acts of the Apostles.
    3. Find a good Word-teaching Church and submit to spiritual authority, not such as the Shepherd movement back in the 70’s. Follow the Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, Spiritual Mentor as they follow Christ.
    4. Don’t be afraid of being hurt or wounded again. People will always hurt you. Jesus has a plan for you and he wants you to grow strong and healthy.

HIGH FIVE – Teshuvah Eclipses

Posted: September 5, 2019 in Uncategorized

The end of July this year, I was directed of the Lord to do a HIGH FIVE on Facebook Live every week, Monday through Friday for 5 minutes. Right now I am teaching on Teshuvah  for these next few weeks, some nuggets every day. Today I shared on the Teshuvah Eclipses, especially the one that happened on 2017. Amazon has this book for sale for $3.18 – what a deal! It is lower priced because it was written to prepare for this eclipse in 2017, but the information is of primary importance of the times we are living in right now. I really believe that 2017 was a MAJOR YEAR on God’s prophetic Day-Timer. I will follow this message tomorrow on Friday High Five.

By the way, I went over 5 minutes and the message was 5:55, on today that is the 5th day of Creation! When I woke this morning God reminded me that this was the 5th day of Creation and now I am excited to see all the 5’s come up!!

All the High Fives since July are now on our YouTube Channel under Ken Bostrom Ministries. You can subscribe for free and be alerted when there is a new program.

Songs 1:5, “I am dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.

Matthew Henry’s commentary of 1706 reads, ““the fairest Christians are the most shamefaced with regard to themselves….Is it not because they are most accustomed to look within? …..He does not live the life of one who goes recklessly on; but he stops and considers his ways; …The genuine Christian, also, tries himself by a higher standard….Another reason why the fairest Christ are generally those that think themselves the blackest, is that they have more light…..the most watchful Christian is conscious of the danger of self-neglect….”

  • The slack living Christians will compare themselves among themselves
  • The sincere Christians will compare themselves to God’s standards

The ‘darkness’ that she sees in herself speaks of the anguish in the weakness of her flesh. Her faith speaks the loudest, filled with guilt and condemnation, shame in her weakness.

There are three stages in our victory in Christ

  1. Our sincere intention to obey God is where victory begins
  2. We have a partial breakthrough, but a continued struggle (Gal 5:6-17)
  3. We have a breakthrough with renewed fire and passion to continue (Rom 6:14-23) This is our goal for these 40 days, breath-through into a passion, returning to our first love.

Who are you comparing yourself to? Begin to confess what the Bible says about you. Then you will be changed from the inside out. If you try to change yourself and feel better about your self, then you are like the rest of the world — Self help.

2 Timothy 3:2 tells us what people will be like in these Last Days. “For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane,” (AMP) Generally when things are listed in the Bible, it is there in order of importance. This is the dominant sign of what people will be like in the last of the Last Days. We are living in a time when churches teach less of the Bible and more of self-help, feeling better about yourself.

The things of God work from the inside out. When you confess what God says about you you will experience the ‘life more abundantly’ that Jesus died to give you. (John 10:10). My husband and I went to the movie OVERCOMER. This little girl had no identity until she was born again and found out what from Ephesians 1-2 what God said she was.

Alex Kendrick shared on a CBN interview, “Our culture wants to say identity is what you feel, or what culture says about you, or some status, job status, financial status. And all those things can change. So, who are you when what you are known for is stripped away?”

My answer – I am a child of the Most High God and He loves me.

They that wait upon the Lord renew their strength. They that wait upon men dissipate their energies. Leonard Ravenhill (1867-1942)

This all began at Christmas time, 2001. I had just finished helping with the Christmas production at the church, with all the months of rehearsal and the last minute trials that are involved My husband and I had guests at our home frequently for the past few months, in addition to the usual Christmas activities, parties, shopping and Christmas cards to send. I was exhausted!

One day when I was spending time with the Lord I prayed something like this, “Lord, you promised in your word that, ‘they that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.’ (Isaiah 40:31) Lord, I am weary. It seems like I am under and not over the circumstances. I have definitely gotten off course. Please, teach me to wait. I guess I am doing everything wrong, because I know that your Word will never fail. It is alive and active, causing me to overcome in all areas. What am I doing wrong? Please, please Lord, teach me to wait.”

The promise of God in James for anyone who needs wisdom is found in the first chapter of James, the fifth verse; “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” God wants to give us His wisdom in every area, but we are to ask. The Amplified Bible calls God ‘the giving God’ in this verse. He will give you the wisdom you need without reminding us of our shortcomings. I think we limit God too much in trying to do things for ourselves, without the help of the God who knows all things.

I had been born again almost twenty years at that time. I had completed two Bible Schools and was in the ministry full time so I felt I had a more than average understanding of the Word of God. Therefore, I realized this problem was something I was in error about. God promised us rest in Jesus. Matthew 11:28-30 says to “Come to Me, all of you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

I have always had a problem taking on too many projects and most of the time my health has suffered because of it. At each of these times the Lord has gently shown me to come back to Him and refresh. It seems that I forget those teachings when I am too busy.

Several years ago I was introduced to a marvelous teaching of Dick Eastman, the book called “The Hour that Changes the World.” [1] He was teaching on how to pray one hour by breaking the hour into twelve segments of five minutes each.

That book has revolutionized my life and the lives of all those to whom I have been a mentor in this prayer teaching. In the time frame of meditation, I chose to meditate on ‘waiting’. This book you are now reading is a result of the Holy Spirit revealing to me three different ways we wait on the Lord, according to the season of life we are in at that time. I know there are many more teachings and writings on this topic, but this is the revelation the Holy Spirit used to teach me to wait on the Lord.

Following the hour of prayer I always feel complete and fulfilled. I have slightly improvised Dick Eastman’s teaching as he suggested doing. Prayer should never be a religious form, but a relationship; communication between you and your Maker. As I pray this way I feel I have covered everything that I have been commanded to do according to Scripture. After that time of prayer and throughout the day I can pray how I am led by the Holy Spirit.

I have brought out my hourly prayer frame in the last chapter of this book. I trust that the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth, will teach you as you submit yourself to the Great Teacher.

Systematic prayer adds health to the devotional habit. Most tasks in life are accomplished systematically. In fact without a systematic approach in life, many goals would remain unreached. [2]

Please pray with me: Father, I come to you in Jesus name, and ask according to Ephesians 1:18 that the eyes of my understanding may be enlightened and that I may see the truth of this teaching. May I hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church right now. Holy Spirit, I thank you that you have come to help me, to lead me, to guide me. I trust you Holy Spirit and I trust the Word of God. Lead me and guide me to the whole truth. Amen

This is a new one for me! I had never heard of a Black Moon Supermoon before so I though many of my subscribers were as clueless as I was.

Depending on where you are on the earth, the new moon falls on either July 31 or August 1st. There will either be a ‘second’ of two new moons in July or August.

Just as a Blue Moon is the 2nd full moon in one month, the Black Moon is the 2nd new moon. So for those who see the new moon tonight, this will be the Black Moon for you. For those who see the new moon tomorrow (August 1st), the Black Moon will be prior to the 2nd new moon. Clear as mud? haha

This new moon is a Supermoon, which means that it is closer to the earth on its monthly orbit and appears larger.

You will not be able to see this until the first sliver of the new moon is seen — a Black Moon cannot be seen with a naked eye. But for us on the Gulf Coast, or other coastlines around the world, they will see a significant tide change — expect extra-large spring tides because of the force of the extra-close moon.

When there is no light on the moon, it is totally black and that is the phase between the waning and the waxing of the moon. The new moon sliver will announce the new moon being ‘born again’, coming back to the cycle to wax to quarter, the to full, then to wane to quarter and then to none.

Each new moon begins a new ‘month’ on the Hebraic calendar that started in the Book of Genesis. That month will begin at sundown August 1st and is called the month of Av. The month of Av has both the most tragic dates (9th of Av) on the calendar and the most happy date on the calendar (15th of Av). The historical site I use to find thing in Jewish History is aish.com/dijh. I will write more about those dates as we draw nearer.

Currently we are in the Season of the Dire Straits on the Hebraic Calendar. This is a 3-week period of time between the 17th of Tammuz to the 9th of Av. More on this blog from last year.
